Hey!
So this is my first time writing something and then publishing it so I'd love feedback. All I ask is that you be nice about it pls! Hope you like it!
Background: You and Luke have been best friends since birth and you both are freshman at the University of Michigan. You have had feelings for him since you were 15 and always thought that he didn’t reciprocate them so you never told him. One night, at a party thrown by the hockey team, everything between you and Luke changes.
This is best friends to lovers and there’s a bit of jealous Luke.
Y/N’s POV
So Luke invited me to some party that the upperclassman were throwing to celebrate the win they got tonight. Told me to bring my roommate, Kathryn (I call her Kat), who has become my best friend. We show up at like 10:45 and quickly find a drink. After that we go off to find Luke.
We find him with a couple of his teammates. I smile when I see him and he returns it. He says, “Y/N/N you made it!”
“I always do when you ask me too. Great game tonight.” I say with a smile. He smiles and pulls me in for a hug. I graciously hug him finding comfort in his arms like always.
Kat pulls my attention, “Hey, lets go find our girls. I think I saw them in the living room. You can flirt with Luke later.”
“Fine. I’ll see you later moose.” I flash a smile at him. He smiles back and releases his hold on me before I head off with Kat. She asks, “When are you gonna tell him how you feel?”
“I’m not. He’s my best friend. I’m not gonna ruin that.” I say.
She sighs and drops the conversation. She’s been trying to get me to tell him since we got a little too wine drunk one night and I blurted out that I’m in love with him. She drags me over to the rest of our friend group that always gets invited to hockey events.
We all just start dancing and having a good time together. I volunteer to get everyone new drinks. I grab everyone seltzers and we just keep having a good time. Some guy that I recognize from my econ class comes over, I think his name is nick, and starts flirting with me.
“Hey gorgeous.” He smiles. I smile back, “Hey. It’s nick right? I think we have econ together.”
“We do. You are the one always asking and answering the questions from the professor. Really smart girl.” He says with a smirk on his face. He puts his hands around my waist and steps a little closer to me. I smile up at him getting a little shy, “Well thank you.”
“You here with Hughes?” He asks.
I shake my head, “No. He invited me but I’m here with my friends. Why?”
“I always see you around with him and everything. I like knowing how tough the competition is.” He says striking at me some more which makes me confused.
“What do you mean?”
“How about you let me take you out sometime and I show you what I mean?”
“Ok sure.” I say smiling at him. He’s a pretty good looking guy and since Luke isn’t interested I might as well move on. We start having a conversation about our class together as we know that we have it in common. Luke comes over and interrupts, “Hey can I borrow her for a sec? Thanks.”
He doesn’t give either of us time to respond before he’s pulling my by the arm away from Nick. He gets me upstairs and alone. He looks pissed off and angrily says, “What the hell were you doing down there?”
“Talking to Nick?” I say like it’s obvious. He snaps back, “You were flirting with him!”
“Ok and?”
“Do you seriously not see why I’m upset?”
“No. Why should I? All you did was drag me away and get mad about me talking to him. That’s all you’ve done since we got to school Luke, get mad at me for talking to other guys.”
“It’s because I love you Y/N!”
“What?” I say confused.
“I love you Y/N. I have since were like 14 or something. I never thought that you would feel the same so I never said anything but it’s killing me. I’m in love with you and I have been for years. I can’t keep watching you flirt with guys over and over again.”
“Luke…” I start but he cuts me off, “I get it that you don’t feel the same and I’m sorry that if I just ruined everything but I love you and you deserve to know and…”
I cut him off by kissing him. It takes a second to register in his head what’s going on but once it does, he’s pulling me close to him. My hands go the back of his neck and I start playing with the ends of his hair.
Eventually we pull away for air and we’re both breathing heavily. I say, “I love you too Luke. I have for a while.”
He smiles and kisses me softly, “well then, I guess that only leaves room for one question. Y/N L/N, will you be my girlfriend?”
“I’d be honored to.” I say with a smile.
We kiss one last time before going back to the party. He leads me back down while holding my hand. We head over to his friends and I stay tucked into his side as his arm is wrapped around my shoulder holding me close. My eyes scan the room for Kat and she gives me a look that questions what happened.
I smile and nod at her which is all she needs to put the pieces together that I finally told him about my feelings. She smiles back and jumps a little bit which makes me laugh. My attention is pulled back to the guys when I hear Dylan Duke, Luke’s best friend and roommate say, “Looks like hughesy finally made a move. Only took you 4 years.”
The guys all start giving Luke shit about waiting so long and it causes me to blush and hide in Luke’s chest. He tightens his grip on me and says, “alright alright. We get it, I waited a while to tell her. Can we move on please?”
The conversation gets changed and Luke just rubs his hand up and down my back. I stick with him the rest of the night with a smile on my face, finally being with the boy that I’ve loved since I was 15.

Ouija? Oui Oui
Criminal Minds. Garvez 2,220 words, Clean, Ao3 This is a Halloween story that took a while... over a year, in fact. Stranded in a spooky old house on a stormy night, the team become involved in a game of Ouija, and someone is set on calling Luke out. Is it real, or is it some elaborate prank?
“Really? Rain?! It couldn’t have been an overly clear sky and sunny 75 keeping us grounded in Los Angeles?!” Penelope jiggled as she pouted, holding on to the curtain, watching the storm pelt the ground outside.
From the kitchen entry Luke watched on, grinning at her antics.
They weren’t really in Los Angeles, not in the city proper anyway. They were in one of the rapidly disappearing, still out of the way, not-quite booming agricultural towns. It was a town so small and remote there was no cause for lodgings, never had been. The people who came here were family and farm workers. Being here was never an accident, and it was certainly not a vacation. If you were here, there was a purpose.
Their purpose had come to a close with an exceptionally rare “good” ending; no lives lost, all missing found. But a freak storm and the only road out washing away left the team stuck. As a result, they had graciously been put up for the night by the sheriff in the old victorian farmhouse owned by her family.
It was drafty, and creaky, and kind of creepy, but it had enough beds to sleep the whole team and all the comforts of a home, so Penelope couldn’t really complain. Still, she would have liked it better if they’d been tucked up cozy on the jet back to DC rather than stuck there.
Sensing her discomfort, wanting to lighten things up, distract her, Luke did what he seemingly did best and reached to push for her buttons. Calling forth some of his early undermining, he goaded her from across the room, “You think perfect weather would prevent us from getting home, Garcia?” He watched her body perk, biting his cheek, smirking as she rounded.
“Oh what, are you a Meteorologist now?” Penelope shot back, turning to face him.
Sighing, JJ cut them off, “I’m just bummed we don’t have anything to play…it seems like it’s been a lifetime since we were all together for a game night.”
“Come on, we have Scrabble. Don’t think we can play with six people and 34 tiles?” Emily teased.
Spencer’s head cocked considering it, “We could do teams”
A silence fell as everyone looked around noncommittally, not interested in trying, but not wanting to offend him.
After a minute Tara’s eyes lit up, an idea sparking. “It is a perfect night for a seance, you believers could prove us skeptics wrong….Let’s commune.”
“We don’t have a Ouija board and none of us are mediums,” Penelope pointed out. Though she agreed some light (or heavy) messing around would take the creep factor of their current surroundings off her mind, she didn’t mind that they couldn’t play some spooky ghost game, real or fake…
“Ah! But we do have scrabble tiles! We could make one,” suggested Emily. “All we really need are the alphabet and some kind of planchette- we could use an empty glass. When my mom was working in Italy, some friends and I broke into an abandoned villa on the edge of town, we drank stolen wine and one of them made a spirit board from scraps of journal paper and an upside down wine glass; we got tipsy and tried to contact the ghost of a cat.”
Tara grinned, “Sounds settled then, unless you’re all too chicken…”
JJ frowned thoughtfully, considering it, then agreed, “Not the kind of game I was thinking of, but why not.”
“The anecdotal evidence gleaned from the experience could be fun,” said Spencer, “count me in.”
Looking to Luke and Penelope, Tara questioned, “So?”
“Yeah, no, my mother would kill me for ‘intruding on his holy plan.’ ” Luke laughed, walking past the group towards an empty arm chair.
“Aww, I won’t tell mommy if you don’t,“ she teased back.
“Nope. Sorry, Tar. Say what you want, but we deal with the dead too much already, I don’t plan on tempting it. I’ll sit this one out, read a book.”
“Come on, Luke, it’s just a game.” JJ, coaxed.
“Actually, that’s still debatable,” said Spencer, “it had to be “proven” to work at the Patent Office before its patent was allowed to proceed; and today, even psychologists believe that it may offer a link between the known and the unknown.”
“Thank you, Spencer.“
Penelope, who had initially been teetering on the ‘no’ side of the fence as well, suddenly had a do-daring change of heart at Luke’s insistent refusal. Looking between the two men, she smirked as if having won something and announced brightly, “Unlike scaredy-cat Luke, I’m in.”
Luke scoffed, smiling, and shook his head, then put up both hands.“I heard you had been practicing,” wiggling his fingers, and winked at her before turning to unzip his backpack.
Penelope glared, but said nothing, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of cluing the rest of the team in on what he was referring to. “Let’s just start.”
The tiles clattered to the table scattering, deft hands quickly arranging them alphabetically in two arcs of 13. Everyone but Luke having taken a place kneeling around the table, Tara called out one last time, “Last chance Alveeez”
Luke, mind made up, simply held up the book he’d plucked from his bag, “I’m good, have fun.”
For a moment everyone sat, not really sure who or how to get started.
“What’da we ask?”
“Well, we should start with hello, then something simple, like…Is anyone here?” suggested Emily, digging back into her memory.
As the question was stated the lights flickered and the temperature dropped, JJ glanced to Tara, a wry smile exchanging between the two, “Looks like a yes already.”
A light nervous hum pulled from Penelope’s lips, “Jennifer Jareau, Know that if I can’t sleep tonight, you won’t be either-“
Emily rolled her eyes disapprovingly at the pair of instigators, “It’s just the storm, Penelope.”
“She’s right,” agreed Spencer, “A house this old is bound to have some bad or broken wiring. It’s likely faulty and therefore more likely to get a short in inclement weather.”
But as his words were assuaging the creeping feeling growing across her skin, all hands on the base of the glass felt the cup start to glide from letter to letter. Slowly, the cup dragged across the tiles, “H-E-Y”
Stopping, Emily laughed, “Hey? Wouldn’t you know, A modern ghost.”
Just as smooth, “Y-O-U- B-E-T” emerged under the flowing cup.
Suspicious, skeptically amused looks were traded around the table.
“Good or bad?“ “Do we know you?” toppled, one over the other.
The makeshift planchette remained still, as if whoever were in control were thinking, then whipped to L, down horizontally to U, up and over to K, then zipped backward, finishing on E. Reading it, all eyes went to the man sinking into the chair, into the book in his hands.
“Luke?” Spencer stated, perplexed, glancing from face to face around the table. This was undoubtedly a prank. Spencer tried to read their micro-expressions, decide who it could be. Tara had been the one most insistent that Luke join, but Emily was good at covering things up, JJ was a proven good liar, but she was about as likely as Matt to pull someone in to a game they said they didn’t want to play. It obviously wasn’t Penelope unless she was really playing up the misdirection. Everyone’s fingers touched the base of the glass, so he couldn’t rely on proximity to help in deductions.
Barely looking up from the book, Luke called, head inclined, “Look, I told you I’m not-“
Before he finished, all hands on the glass were pulled back in a repeat of the pattern, “L-U-K-E,” this time Tara called out the letters as they covered them. JJ’s mouth dropped open and her fingers briefly lifted. Emily, much like Spencer, was now discretely inspecting her friends.
Closing his book, Luke indulged them, calling over his shoulder, “Ha ha, very funny. Are you all enjoying yourselves?”
Confused, uneasy faces slowly shook their heads, denying they had been the one, “-It’s not me“ Tara insisted, “It’s not us,” repeated JJ.
Penelope, now believing it absolutely was some elaborate prank she wasn’t in on, called out sweetly, continuing, “Do you know Luke?”
“H-E-Y- B- E- A- U- T- I- F- U- L- Y- E- S”
“Ooo, familiar and flirty,” she cooed
“Yeah, too bad he’s dead,” JJ said through a smile.
A huff and the obvious sounds of shifting legs drifted from Luke’s direction. Emily’s brow furrowed, challenging, “Friend or foe?” She still wasn’t sure who it could be; if it was a game, or if this was real. The air in the room felt electric, she was no stranger to some unexplainable things, but Tara was right, this was a perfect opportunity for some spooky fun, something she absolutely did not put past either JJ or Tara indulging in at Luke’s expense.
“N-O-M-A-T-C-H” was smoothly guided as a response.
“Nomatch?” Spencer said to himself, head tilting, puzzled.
“Uh, I think it’s ‘no match?’ ” JJ clarified.
Luke had been trying to ignore them, immersing himself with the Bennet sisters training as Zombie killers (the modern YA takes on classics were a guilty pleasure), but icy air suddenly settled on his shoulder, a hand resting just so.
That was different.
The second the letters were read out it pulled his attention like a string tugging from his ear, the minute the words were spoken Luke’s hair stood on end.
‘No match,’ why did that sound familiar?
The thought was interrupted by Tara, sitting up on her knees, calling over, “Maybe it’s one of your old ranger buddies looking for a light”
In a flurry, their hands ripped back and forth, “N-O- M-A-T-C-H- F-O-R- P-E-N-E-L-O-P-E- H-U-H”
As they reached the L Penelope let go, a sick shiver chasing down her spine. While she didn’t mind helping mess with Luke, she did not appriciate being included this way.
Luke’s head snapped up from the book, his eyes catching hers from across the room.
They were fucking with him, fine, but not Penelope, not-
The corner of his mouth twitched, he remembered exactly why those words were familiar, and seeing her look, though he knew she’d never heard him say it, knew she was looking to him for an answer. If Luke had bothered to look at the other sets of eyes on him, he would have found a similar piqued curiosity coming from around the room, evidence that, no, no one here was doing this.
Emily cut to JJ and then across to Tara, looking for any sign that one of them might be the one pulling something, but there was no tell, faces just as surprised as her own.
Spencer stated with a grin what he felt was the obvious joke the prankster had in mind, “It’s definitely someone very familiar with your relationship with Garcia.”
Smiling briefly, then schooling his features, Luke glanced down, watching as the hands still on the cup moved easily, “N-O- W-O-R-D-S- C-O-M-M-U-N-I-C-A-T-O-R”
He didn’t want to be a part of this. He actively had chosen not to be a part of this. And yet, here he was being dragged in to it. Forced into it. It was just like Phil to put him on the spot and not drop it. Luke heated at the truth to the implied accusation.
Phil knew.
He’d likely known all along. And now, even dead, he was taunting him over it.
Luke’s eyes narrowed, but his mouth quirked, and his head twisted in disbelief, slowly the word falling out on a breath, “-sorry.” But he didn’t say it to her, he didn’t say it to anyone in the room- any body in the room anyway.
“N-O-M-A-T-C-H” Each hand felt the tug and pull, each thinking less and less that it was another leading the message.
His head shook, staring at the tiles, this couldn’t be happening. More importantly, he couldn’t let her know it was happening. “I know-“
“D-O-N-T- B-L-O-W- I-T”
The glass stopped, Penelope tugged her hand away, protectively cupping it to her chest with the other. JJ looked from Emily to Tara, then from Penelope to Luke, “…You…wanna fill us in?”
Penelope looked to JJ, Luke’s gaze cast down then flowed up and over the faces around the table. Slowly, his shoulder raised, “What? I was playing along. Just…messing around, right?”
“So -you- were joking? Even though you refused to join us? I don’t buy it-“
“Yeah, I thought you believed in this whole ghost-afterlife-supernatrual-unexplainable. I mean, you think the BAU is haunted.”
“Okay, 1. the BAU is haunted, Rossi agrees, and 2., what? I’m supposed to accept that the one person you couldn’t con into playing was the one person with a visitor from the other side? I may believe in ghosts, but I’m not that easy.”
He was lying, of course, but none of them needed to know that. As long as he insisted he was playing along, no one could say he wasn’t. As long as it was a game, he wouldn’t have to tell Penelope why he’d lied to her about Phil, he wouldn’t have to admit why he lied to Phil about Penelope, and he wouldn’t have to think about why he didn’t want them together, even back then…

As Fire Loves Innocence (Xavier Thorpe x Reader) Pt. 9
Trigger Warning: Mentions of SA and Trauma, Angst, Mentions of underaged drinking.
Xavier ended up with two weeks detention for the incident, and he was banned from participating in the Poe Cup this year. You apologized again and again, but every time he would just wave it off. Now the games were tomorrow, and the team had to replace him. Ajax originally offered the spot to you, but you didn’t feel comfortable with the idea of sinking. In addition to this it would just add insult to injury if you were to replace Xavier after being the reason, he needed a replacement to begin with, so you elected to remain on the sidelines with him and cheer on the team. “I know I’ve already said it a thousand times, but I’m really sorry. Enid told me all about last year, and I know how much you wanted to help Ajax get revenge, and now you’re going to miss it, and it’s all my fault. I’m so sorry” “Y/N, again it isn’t a big deal. I’m still watching it tomorrow I just can’t participate in the game itself. I can try again next year.” “I know but I still feel so bad about the whole situation.” “You wanna make it up to me? Would that make you feel better?” “Yes! Whatever you want. You name it.” “Okay, I’m working on my figure paintings, and I need a model. You can be my model for a few hours, and we can call it even. And you get to see the art shed. Deal?” You look up at him with a raised eyebrow. “I know exactly what you are thinking. Not that kind of modeling. Wear something comfortable to sit in for a long time.” “Okay Deal. When?” “We have dinner after the Poe Cup with the group, we can go after that.” “Sound’s good.”
The Poe cup went about as well as once could expect. Your team lost. Again. “We would have won if Xavier had been with us!” Ajax has been insisting this the entire dinner. You had the urge to apologize, but the only people who know what really happened in the weathervane are you and Xavier. The two of you had stuck to the same story since. The boys were harassing you. They touched you and Xavier three coffee on them to protect you knowing that the heat wouldn’t hurt you. In a way this wasn’t untrue; it just wasn’t the whole truth either. “You had Xavier last year and you lost.” “I know that Wednesday, but this year we were more prepared. If those idiots hadn’t attacked Y/N we wouldn’t be in this mess.” At this point Enid piped in. “Yeah if anyone is to blame here it’s the normies who don’t know how to keep their hands to themselves. They’re just luck they got Xavier with coffee and not me with claws.” You laugh at her protective nature. “Thank you, Enid. And Thank you Xavier again for defending me.” “It was nothing. Don’t worry about it. Besides we’re even now.” Enid and Ajax both look at you at that statement, but it’s Wednesday who speaks up. “Even?” “Yep. Y/N has so graciously volunteered to be my model so I can work on a few different painting techniques.” You see Enid give Xavier the same look you did, and Ajax lets out a “Nice dude.” Before you interrupt. “Not that kind of modeling.” Xavier looks almost offended. “Why does everyone think I’m just trying to see you naked?” Ajax snickers at the comment. “Dude, have you looked at her? You’re the only guy with a girl roommate and she’s hot.” Enid elbows him at that comment causing him to backtrack a bit. “I mean she’s conventionally attractive. Not my type though.” Enid seems satisfied with this. “Look I can assure you that there is nothing going on between me and Xavier. We are just friends who happen to be roommates. Nothing more.” “You’ve been invited to his supper secret art shed in the middle of the woods to be his model.” “I’m just helping my friend with his hobby, as a favor for literally saving me from the normies.” “Yeah, what she said. Nothing is going on.” Enid puts her hands up in surrender. “Okay, I believe you. I’m just saying to people who don’t know you this could be a bit suspicious.”
You finished up dinner, and head back to your room so you can change before the two of you head out into the woods. You decide to wear a little dress. It’s knee length and red with short sleeves and sweetheart neckline. He brings you to a little shed and unlocks the padlock on the door. The shed consists of one little room with several canvases and sets of drawers holding supplies. “Wow” “I know it’s not much, but it’s mine.” “It’s amazing.” Xavier points you to a stool in the middle of the room and has you sit angles towards a small table with a lit candle on it. He positions you with one hand in a fist with your chin resting on it as you look at the candle and the other arm draped across your lap. Once he has you in the right pose, he steps back a bit. “Okay. Now don’t move for the next three hours or so.” “Can I talk?” “For now, yes, but eventually I’ll need you to just smile and shush so I can get your facial details right.” “Okay just let me know when.” He takes his time with this painting. You can see the look of concentration on his face at times, like when he’s trying to mix an exact shade of a color to show light spreading across your face. At first you try to hold a conversation but eventually you just let him do his work and you gaze off into the distance in a daydream. You zone out for so long; you don’t realize that the sun has set leaving the candle on your table and one behind Xavier as the only light source in the room. “Y/N? Y/N! it’s done you can move now.” This snaps you out of your daze. “You wanna see it?” “Yes!” You hop off the stool and stretch out your limbs, stiff from being sedentary for so long, and blow out the candle which was on its last leg after burning for so long. You walk over to Xavier and turn to look at the painting. Your hand immediately covers your mouth in shock, which worries Xavier at first. “Is it bad?” “No. It’s beautiful. Can you make it move or is it only certain drawings?” “I can make it move.” He holds his hands up and you watch in amazement as the flame begins to flicker. In the painting Your small grin grows wider into a full smile as you remove your hand from under your chin and reach out to touch the flame. It grows slightly larger for a moment before you bring your hand back to its original position and the painting stops moving. You turn to Xavier as he lowers his hand. You hadn’t realized just how close he was to you until now. He looks down at you with a new look in his eye. It seems vaguely familiar, but you can’t quite place it. The two of you are afraid to speak above a whisper, as if the moment was so fragile that even a small noise could break it, and neither of you wanted to leave it yet. “You are beyond amazing Xavier.” Neither of you register the two of you leaning closer and closer until your foreheads are touching, your breathing heavy and sporadic. In a moment of bravery Xavier reaches out. His hands hovering just away from your face. “Can I kiss you?” “Please do.” With that his lips are on yours. The kiss soft yet desperate. He holds your face as if he is afraid that you will slip through his fingers, and you respond by throwing your arms around his neck. When you finally break apart, you’re both panting. Neither of you have moved your hands and your foreheads are still together. “To be completely honest Xavier, I’ve wanted you to do that since the weathervane” “I’ve wanted to do that since your first day of classes.” “Nobody can know about this. Not while we still live together. It’s a scandal waiting to happen.” “I know. My dad would kill me. I can see the headline now.” As the two of you started to laugh at that thought the final candle finally went out, and you realized how late it was. “We should get back to the dorm.” “Yeah. You’re right.” The two of you walk back the dorm. You just barley back before curfew, and as you close and lock the door your head is still spinning from the realization of what tonight means for you. Xavier walks over to you and takes your hand as you look up at him. “You know I think I’m gonna like this room a lot more now.” “Why?” “Cause like you said, nobody can know about us out there, but in here you’re mine.”

The Artists Game
Chapter 2 Mall
(The next day)
Aika was in the kitchen making herself some steamed rice and tamagoyaki with cheese in the middle when the phone started ringing. She picked it up and heard her mother's calm, and caring voice over the line.
"Hello sweetie, how are you doing?" Aika's mother asked.
"Alright mom just had an interaction with that STD spreader at the store behind our house last night." Aika said, still disgusted by what happened last night.
"Oh I'm sorry to hear that sweet heart." Aika's mom said sadly over the phone, as she knew about Aika's situation with Hinote.
"It's okay mom, I punched that jerk right in the face when he grabbed at me." Aika said, reassured her mom.
"Well I don't like it when you use violence but considering the situation I'll let it slide." Aika's mom said.
"Thanks mom." Aika thanked graciously.
"Oh and sweetie can you do me a favor I deposited some yen for you in the bank I need you to go and draw it from the bank once you're done with what you're doing." Aika's mom explained.
"Oh sure I wanted to go out into town anyways after I had some breakfast and a nice hot shower." Aika explained while flourishing at the thought of a steamy hot shower.
"That's good dear I love you and I miss you." Aika's mom said lovingly.
"I love you mom bye." Aika said, she then ended the call with her mom.
She soon finished cooking the rice and the tamagoyaki , then sat down at the table to enjoy her warm meal. As she was eating the rice and eggs together she got out the notebook and looked through her drawings. Some of them were gory creatures that she made up while others were anime characters she made up as she liked anime, as long as it was horror.
"Man, I wonder how Amaya would've thought of these if she never joined those cheerleaders?" Aika questioned herself about that like always, as she always wondered if they would even still be friends if she had never became a cheerleader.
Before Amaya had joined the cheerleaders she would compliment Aika on her drawings saying that she was really talented. However now thanks to them she now says that their the ugliest thing she has ever seen and now all she has is her mom to say that they're great drawings. Despite her mother not liking violence of gore she still supports Aika as she care's a lot about her only child. Although Aika knew that her mom only says that as it's a mothers job to say that their child's work is great and Aika wants someone else to tell her their opinion on what she draws. Yet she's an outcast in school and barely anyone talks to her at all, not only that but everyone in the school thinks she's a weirdo due to the way she presents herself.
Aika felt tears running down her face, which made her surprised as she didn't realize she was crying. She whipped the tears off her face and decided to watch some TV to get her mind off of ex-friend and her lonely life in school. She grabbed her bowl of rice and her plate of tamagoyaki, along with her notebook, then sat down on the soft couch. She turned on the TV and began watching the news as it helped her feel better sometimes, depending on what was on, and if there wasn't anything interesting on she would switch it to something else, and if it had horror in it she'd watch it.
"And that's the weather for you all." The young and pretty newscaster announced before continuing on with "In other news a group of five teenage boys were found dead in an alleyway, strangely they were all cut perfectly. Live on the scene is commander officer Kaji who will give us a report on the situation regarding the case."
The TV then changed to the scene where the Commander was standing in front of the alleyway. Splatters of blood could be seen on the walls and the entrance was closed off with yellow police tape. Flashing red and blue light's could also be seen flashing off screen as there were still police cars in the area.
"Kaji how has the investigation on this murder been going and is their any clues on what may have happened to these boys?" The news woman who was there at the scene asked, before handing the microphone to Kaji.
"Unfortunately no we haven't been able to determine anyone as the killer yet, but I promise you that this murder will not go unpunished." Kaji stated in a clear, serious tone.
"You hear that ladies and gentlemen commander Kaji here will not rest till the killer is brought to justice." The News woman stated while looking at the camera.
"Huh some boys got killed, never seen that before I wonder who they are?" Aika asked herself curious on what happened and who the victims where.
As if the newscaster could hear her she said "In case you're all wondering who the victims are, Aakar will show you all their pictures of them." It then changed to the news man and the pictures of the boys all popped up.
When Aika saw one of the pictures she was shocked to see that one of them was Hinote. While she didn't like him she didn't want him to die, just to leave her alone.
"What the hell happened to him and who or what killed him?" Aika asked herself scared by this.
While she was into dark stuff she didn't like it when someone died in real life as in movies it's fake. However when someone is killed in real life it's more scary and can show that monsters truly exist in real people. Aika was asking if she should still go out and withdraw the yen for her mom, as their was a potential killer out on the lose and she didn't want to be murdered.
"Na that wont happen a murder wont be stupid enough to kill someone in broad daylight when everyone's up and out of the house. So I'll be fine to go out for a few hours not just to get the yen but I might also get some lunch and look around the stores for a bit." Aika said to herself then finished up her breakfast.
After she was done eating she got her dress, socks and shoes and headed to the bathroom. When she got into the bathroom Aika took off her purple and black striped pajamas and threw them into the laundry basket. She also slipped off her undergarments and threw them into the laundry basket as well. After getting undressed she looked into the mirror and looked at the bit of hair that was covering up her face in the reflection.
She then got closer to the mirror she put her hand up to her face and pushed her hair out of her face. When she did she had a bad memory from when she was younger come back and she gasped at the memory . She then pulled the bit of hair back to it's original place before backing away from the mirror up to the wall. Aika then slid down the the floor before burying her face in her hands and shook her head violently trying to forget the memory.
"Come on Aika forget about that day, just focus on what's going on now. Just get your shower and go out for a bit!" Aika told herself.
She then got up, opened the walk in shower's door, got in, closed the door behind her, and turned the water on. When the water made contact with her skin she shivered at the cold before she turned up the temperature on it and once it was at the right temperature for her she continued on with the shower.
After getting a nice, relaxing, warm shower Aika slipped her clothes on, got a bag and sunglasses before heading out. She locked the door behind her and headed out to the bank then to the mall. Aika didn't have a bike cause she never wanted one, so she just walked to the city and back.
The area she lived in was about an half an hour walk to the city so Aika could walk there and back. On her way there she saw Amaya standing on the porch of one of the cheerleaders' houses. Aika started speed walking not wanting to talk to Amaya unfortunately Amaya spotted her and started running up to her.
"HEY AIKA I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO SAY TO YOU!" Amaya screamed angrily before grabbing Aika roughly by the arm.
"Ugh, what do you want Amaya?" Aika asked angrily while trying to get her arm out of Amaya's grip.
"IT'S HINOTE! THE LAST PERSON HE TALKED TO WAS YOU!" Amaya screams angrily while griping tighter on Aika's arm.
"Hey I didn't want to talk to him in the first place" Aika stated, before finally pulling her arm out of Amaya's grip.
"WELL IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME. YOU TOOK HIM FROM ME YOU BITCH!" Amaya screamed angrily.
"I DIDN'T HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU I HATE HIM! YOU COULD'VE HAD HIM IF YOU APPROACHED HIM YOURSELF!" Aika screamed back.
Amaya got even more angry at that and raised her fist to punch Aika but she was stopped by one of the cheerleader's mother.
"Wowow Hey there, why don't I take you inside and you and my daughter can have some green tea." The mother suggested before bringing Amaya inside to prevent a cat fight from blowing up in front of her house.
As she was being taken into the house she shot Aika a death glare to which Aika just rolled her eyes and continued on her way.
(Half an hour later)
Aika was now in the bank talking to her mom's bank assistant about the withdrawal.
"Okay your mother withdrew 25000 yen and she said that half of it is for you to get food and the other half is for emergencies." The bank assistant explained.
"Okay I guess that's what it was going to be for as we can now save up more yen now that we'd paid what debt my dad's gambling ass got us into." Aika spat the last part out in anger.
"Yeah I know she told me about what happened to him. While I don't wish death upon anyone, I feel like what happened to him was the only way for you and your mom to live in peace in this world." The Bank assistant explained.
"Well I'm glad that happened to him, I hated him for my whole life. When I figured out we were never gonna see him again I was overwhelmed with happiness." Aika said to herself, forgetting the bank assistant.
"Oh I never knew that you felt that way about him." The bank assistant said, surprised by what Aika had said.
"Huh oh sorry I was thinking out loud. I'll just be on my way and head to the mall. I have no other business here." Aika explained, excusing herself.
"Oh no it's alright I understand he was an awful man so I know that you hated him." The bank assistant reassured Aika.
Aika was glad to hear that and she soon finished up what she had to do there. Once she was done there she left the bank and headed to the mall. When Aika went in she saw that as usal on the summer the place was packed with people.
'What did you expect? It's summer and it's the mall. So It's gonna be full of people.' Aika thought to herself.
She pushed through the crowds and went to the accessory shop to see if she could find a new hair clip. When she got there she was disappointed to see the other cheerleaders where in the shop as well.
'Ugh I hate these girls, they took my friend away from me.' Aika thought to herself.
She quickly walked away in order to keep out of sight from the other cheerleaders. She went into the hair clip section to see if there were any hair clips that would speak with her fashion. However to her disappointment all the hair clips were too pink and girly for her as she wanted something black and gothic.
"*sigh* Why do all the stores I go to are out of the things I want?" Aika asked herself.
"Oh I don't know, probably because your fashion sense is ugly as hell." A snarky voice commented.
Aika cringed at the sound of the voice, and looked to her right and frowned as she saw three of the cheerleader's standing a few feet away from her.
"What the hell do you want?" Aika asked annoyed by them bothering her.
"Oh nothing, just some of the yen you got on you." The cheerleader said confadently.
"No way my mom left me this while she's away on her business trip." Aika spat before holding her bag that also had her wallet in it behind herself.
Unfortunately she felt someone trying to yank it out of her hand. When she looked back she saw there were two more cheerleaders, this made her even more angry as she only wanted to have a relaxing day at the mall.
"WHY THE FUKING HELL DO YOU GIRLS HATE ME SO MUCH!" Aika screamed furious, not even being careful with her words while she was pulling on her bag.
"Oh maybe because you are a loner and a loser." The girl who was trying to take her bag away said, while she was pulling back.
"I'M ONLY A LONER BECAUSE YOU WHORES TOOK MY FRIEND AWAY FROM ME IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT FOR DOING THIS TO ME!" Aika screamed angerly and pulled back, but unfortunately the girl managed to rip her bag out of her hands.
Just then the other girl kicked her in the stomach and punched her hard enough that she crashed into the shelves and everything on them to fall off and on to her.
"Oh look at what we got here an ugly notebook I bet she draws ugly art in here just like herself." The cheerleader that had her bag said.
She then pulled out the notebook and opened it up to see and hopefully rip out what Aika had drawn in it.
"Ugh look at this thing it's so ugly my eyes wanna die." The Cheerleader laughed and showed the other girls the picture.
They all laughed as it was one of the anime characters Aika made up and drew into the notebook. They all thought it was ugly as fuck and when Aika heard them say that about her drawing she was about to cry as it hurt her a lot, and brought back memories of her father.
"Ohh Look her wallet lets see how much she has." The other cheerleader said while pulling out Aikas black and purple wallet.
"N-No that's for me my mom gave it to me." Aika said weakly while trying to get up but was stopped by one of the other cheerleaders kicking her hard in the stomach.
"Aww so what, we don't care that your pathetic mom gave it to you, we just want it." The cheerleader said and was about to open it till a hand stopped her.
"HEY FUCK FACE WHAT ARE YOU- *gasp!*" The cheerleader stopped as she saw that a manager, employee, and Haru were standing next to the group and they all had angry looks on their face's.
"Oh M-Maneger! we-we were uuuhhh-" one of the girls tried to explain but was cut off by the manager.
"You girls were just beating this poor young woman up and were about to steal her money. Yeah I think you girls need to come with me." The manager sternly said then took two of the girls while the employee took the other three with him into the back.
Haru stayed with Aika and helped her up and put her stuff back in her bag.
"T-thanks Haru" Aika shakily said as she was still in a bit of pain and was clenching on to her stomach.
"Anytime I guess it was luck that I was here when they started bullying you, and it was a good idea to get a manager and employee." Haru said a bit flustered.
"Y-yeah well thanks I think I-I need to go to the clinic to get checked." Aika said as she felt like that she could've gotten a few cuts from the attack.
"I'll take you there." Haru said then picked Aika up bridal style and walked out of the store with her in his arms.
'Oh my god I'm actually carrying Aika, the girl who I've had a crush on for so long now and now that Hinote is out of the way I don't need to worry about him taking her from me. *sigh* Calm down, Haru, don't be creepy. You've seen enough videos from victims of stalking that it's just gonna Scare Aika away from you so keep it together and don't be creepy.' Haru thought to himself.
Soon the two got to the first aid station and the doctor working there took a look at Aika.
"hmm aside from a few bruises and the scratch on your arm you should be okay." The doctor said to the relief of Haru and Aika.
He then disinfected the scratch Aika had on her arm and got out a bandage to put over it. However when Aika got a look at the design she cringed again as she saw that it was pink and was decorated with rainbows.
"Un sir do you have any other bandages? I don't like the color pink or rainbows." Aika explained
"well we do have regular bandages if you don't want one that's decorated as the decorated ones are meant for younger kids." The doctor explained
"I'd like that, Thank you sir." Aika said graciously.
"Hey It's a part of the job," The doctor stated before putting a plan bandage on Aika's scratch.
Aika and Haru thanked him once again for his services and the two made their way to the food court.
"Hey Aika, would you like some ramen?" Haru asked.
"Sure, I'm in the mood for some shrimp ramen." Aika answered.
"Okay let's go get some." Haru said before leading Aika to the ramen shop.
"One steak ramen please." Haru ordered.
"And I'll have a shrimp Ramen with no mushrooms or boiled egg." Aika ordered with a few changes to how the ramen is made.
The cashier then told them the price for the ramen and Haru paid for both of them.
"Oh thanks Haru." Aika said grateful.
"Hey It's the least I could do after what happened with you and those cheerleaders." Haru said while putting his arm around Aika's shoulder.
"Hey Lovey doveys kiss already!" Someone in the line shouted.
"WE'RE NOT LOVERS SO SHUT UP!" Aika shouted annoyed, with a bit of blush on her face while Haru was also blushing and rubbing the back of his head.
Soon their orders came and the two took their ramen bowls and sat down on a nearby table.
"So Aika what do you normally do at home?" Haru asked trying to create some form of a conversation.
"I mostly draw or when, my mom's home I do activities with her like gardening or shop for groceries and accessories around here." Aika answered.
"Oh well, do you play any video games?" Haru asked.
"Well we couldn't afford consoles as my dumbass, gambling dad got us in debt." Aika said bitterly.
"Oh what did he do?" Haru asked feeling a bit sad for Aika when he heard that.
"He gambled and owed money to loan sharks. His addiction to gambling made mine and mom's life hell as we could barely afford many things. Thankfully one day it all ended because my dad didn't pay back his debt. The loan sharks he owed money to took him away and killed him. I know this because my mom was talking to a police officer who told her that he was found dead near a ditch. When I heard about it I couldn't help but feel happy as now we could live normal lives once mom paid off the debt. Thankfully her job made it easy and in a matter of years we're now out of debt and living more comfortable lives." Aika explained coldly and a bit satisfied at the end.
"Oh wow I had no idea that you and your mom had gone through that." Haru said feeling sorry for Aika and what she went through when she was younger.
"Yeah, but you wanna know another reason I'm glad he's dead? Because he was physically and verbally abusive as he also had an alcohol and drug addiction." Aika said bitterly and angerly.
"I'm sorry to hear that as well. Man, things must've been rough for you and your mom when your father was around." Haru said.
"Yeah they were but now that he's gone our lives have never been better." Aika said with a slight smile on her face.
"Well I'm glad to hear that. Hey, can I see what you've drawn in your notebook?" Haru asked curious on what she drew in it.
"Oh sure and hey if you have yours I'd like to see it." Aika said as she got her notebook out, even though she was afraid that Haru would say about her drawings.
"Oh sure here" Haru said and pulled his out of his bag.
The two shared their drawing with each other and were impressed with one another's drawing talents.
"Wow Aika you're really talented! I love your art style it looks amazing, much better them my art style." Hari explained while looking at his notebook and drawings.
"Really? I've never had anyone else aside from my mom say that my drawings where good. Those cheerleaders always tell me that my drawings are ugly and it makes them wish that they where blind." Aika explained a bit sad about the cheerleaders, and while blushing a bit at Haru's compliment. "Well I'm surprised that those cheerleaders thought that they where bad, if they think your drawings are bad then they must not have good taste in art." Haru explained jokingly.
"Wow... I don't know what to say... Thanks Haru, that's one of the nicest things anyone aside from my mom had ever said to me." Aika explained.
Haru smiled at that and the two keep on having a conversation about other their likes and dislikes. However they didn't notices that a woman was hiding herself in the shadows with an earpiece on and was talking on the microphone.
"Yes sir, they're here, the last two entries. One of them knows what the notebooks do while the girl still doesn't know what they do. However, you should still make the announcement for the game." The woman said to the person on the other line.
The person on the other side of the line agreed with the woman and told her to head back to base. She agreed and left, but not before taking one look back to Aika and Haru.
"You two better watch out as you'll be in for the fight of your lives." The woman said before disappearing into the shadows.

You dried off your body as you sat up on the deck of the pool in the dark. Momo, Sana, and Jihyo were all climbing out from the evening swim you’d taken. You looked at your watch, knowing that Momo and Sana couldn’t stay out too late, not when Nayeon had so graciously agreed to watch their campers, but only for a bit.
Jihyo threw you each a boogie board to sit on instead of the hard concrete and you relaxed back in the warm August night. A breeze was blowing through but it only carried more hot air, though it felt perfect for drying off.
“That was fun,” Sana chimed. “We should do that more often.”
“We can only get Nayeon to babysit so many times,” Momo chuckled.
“I can only do this sparingly,” Jihyo said. “I mean I don’t think Hongseok would be that mad, but if Seungcheol caught us…”
“I don’t know,” you hummed, laying your towel over the boogie board and sitting on it. “Hongseok is getting to be a bit more of a stick in the mud in his old age.”
“You say that like you didn’t fuck him in his office,” Jihyo laughed.
“Shut up,” you giggled, throwing a stray boogie board at her which she managed to catch anyway.
“Didn’t you say something about the showers after?” Jihyo questioned.
“We didn’t do anything in the showers,” you said, sticking your tongue out at her.
“Yeah,” said Sana. “I’m the only one who gets to fuck them in the showers.” Everyone laughed at her comment.
“That explains why you came back with wet hair the other day.” Momo said.
“At least tonight we have towels,” you chuckled.
“I might have forgotten the towels,” Sana confessed with a sheepish grin, blushing while Jihyo and Momo burst into laughter.
“It’s a good thing you’re cute, Sana,” Momo giggled.
“It’s a good thing Minji was willing to bring us towels,” you chuckled.
“Well luckily everyone can dry off comfortably now,” Jihyo said. “How much later do you guys wanna stay?”
“We still have time,” Momo said. “Nayeon said she would stay until just before lights out, she’s checking the cabins tonight anyway so as long as we’re back by 10 we’re fine.”
“We could play a game,” You offered.
“Ohhhh we could play truth or dare,” Sana said excitedly.
“That ought to be interesting,” Momo chuckled.
“Why not?” you laughed. You could already tell Sana was plotting ideas. She was bound to make it sexual right out of the gate but you didn’t mind all that much. It would at least be fun. You were feeling slightly better now. Things were still far from normal between you and Wonwoo but at the very least you could hold a casual conversation again without it feeling massively awkward or like pulling teeth to get an answer. So that was something.
“So long as it doesn’t get too out of hand,” Jihyo said, chewing on her lip.
“See now you sound like Seungcheol,” Momo teased.
“I do not,” she whined. “I’m fun!”
“Fine, then truth or dare?” Momo asked.
“Truth.”
“Figures.”
Jihyo grabbed a nearby pool noodle to whack Momo. “Just ask me a question.”
“Is it true you guys have orgies in Cabin Hydrus?”
Even in the moonlight you could see Jihyo blush deeply. “I-I wouldn’t call them orgies.”
You and Sana squealed while Momo laughed.
“If you’re all having sex than it’s an orgy,” Momo said.
“Hold on, why was I not invited?” You asked.
“You’re not in the cabin,” Jihyo said.
“Yeah but we’re in the same department,” you whined.
“Okay but you’re in a boat usually,” Sana said. “They like to get wet.”
“Okay okay,” Jihyo said, trying to hush you all a bit. “Momo, truth or dare?”
“Dare because I’m not afraid.”
“Whisper a secret to me.”
“Oh my god, you are getting boring,” Momo said, crawling over to her. You couldn’t hear what she said but you saw the look of surprise that crossed Jihyo’s face as she heard the secret.
“Wait really?” Jihyo asked. Momo nodded with a slight grin.
“What was it?” Sana pouted.
“Sorry, can’t tell you,” Momo giggled. “She should have told me to tell the whole group.” Momo looked at you. “Truth or dare?”
“I’ll go with dare.”
“Take your top off.”
You felt heat rush to your skin as the others giggled. “Hold on, you just had to whisper a secret and I have to take my tits out?”
“You really should be prepared for anything,” She shrugged. “You can switch the truth, but only once.”
“Fine, I’ll do it,” you muttered, pulling down the straps on your bathing suit top. You didn’t look any of them in the eye as you took your arms out of the straps and pushed it down just enough to rest under your breasts, thankful for the warm night so the air didn’t chill you.
You would have thought by this point in the summer this wouldn’t feel so embarrassing and yet…
“Okay, Sana,” you said, very aware of how she was now staring at your chest. “Truth or dare?”
“Hmmmmm truth,” She said.
“Ummm,” you wracked your brain for a good question. “How many times have you faked an orgasm?”
“I never fake an orgasm!” she said. “I want them to know if they do a bad job.”
Momo nudged her hard and gave her a pointed look.
“Okay, well I don’t anymore.”
You and Jihyo snorted.
“Some people just cannot figure out how to get me off, not like it’s that hard,” she muttered. “Anyway, Jihyo, truth or dare?”
“I don’t trust you at all,” Jihyo said.
“That doesn’t answer my question,” Sana grinned. “And you said truth last time.”
“Fine, dare.”
“Perfect,” she smiled brightly. “I dare you to do a pole dance with an imaginary pole.”
Jihyo flushed red, visible even in the darkness, as she stood up. You tried for a moment to forget about how bare you were as you watched her in all of her embarrassment, trying to be sexy while Sana hummed music and Momo giggled. She was quick to sit back down, letting her hair partially fall in her face.
Jihyo said your name. “Truth or dare?”
“I’m going for truth this time,” you said.
“What’s your body count for this summer?”
“Oh geez,” you said, looking up at the sky. “Give me a second.” The girls all giggled as you counted out on your fingers, trying to remember everyone. “Wait is it just sex or anyone I’ve fooled around with?”
“Include anyone you fooled around with,” Said Sana.
“Then, god I think it’s 18?” You said, hoping you weren’t forgetting anyone. “That kinda blows Soonyoung out of the water.”
“Congrats,” snickered Momo. “You’re the resident whore.”
“Shut up,” you laughed, grabbing a wayward pool noodle and whacking her with it as she giggled.
“Your turn, truth or dare?”
“Hmmm dare,” she said.
You grinned. “I dare you to play with your nipples for the rest of the game.”
Sana giggled while Jihyo looked between you two, a little panicked. “See when I said not to get out of hand-”
“You say that like it’s hard,” Momo chuckled, pinching her nipples through her swimsuit top and rolling them slowly, clearly more than happy to be giving herself pleasure. “Sana, truth or dare?”
“Dare,” she said easily.
“Show us a fake orgasm.”
“You guys!” Jihyo hissed.
Sana blushed, biting down on her finger coyly. “You really wanna see it?”
“Oh shut up and do it,” you laughed, nudging her knee with your foot. Jihyo was looking over her shoulder towards the camp building, clearly worried someone would notice your increasingly risque game.
Sana, on the other hand, didn’t seem to care. She rested back on her elbows before letting out a moan, legs rubbing together and squirming as if she was actually experiencing pleasure. You watched as her mouth fell open, brows knitting together and eyes falling closed as her back arched and she let out very convincing moans that climbed higher and higher in her voice.
You couldn’t help the way it sent thrills of arousal through your body. You shifted a little, pressing your thighs together as you watched and listened to her. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Momo pinching her own nipples a little harder and Jihyo biting down on her bottom lip.
Sana drew her knees up close to her, head falling back in a beautiful, high cry as she “finished,” even managing to have her legs shaking a little and letting out heavy breaths as she opened her eyes. Whether she still did it or not in bed, she was very good at it.
“O-Okay,” Said Jihyo. “Maybe not so loud,” she glanced over her shoulder again, trying to shift her thighs inconspicuously. “B-But let’s keep playing.”
“Okay,” purred Sana. “Truth or dare?” Her voice was much more sultry and it was doing you no favours. By the looks of it you weren’t alone in that.
“Uh, dare?” Jihyo said.
Sana grinned, “I dare you to give me a hickey.” Jihyo seemed surprised at the relatively tame request but Momo was eyeing Sana.
“You are such a whore,” she snickered.
“I’ve done nothing,” Sana said innocently, batting her eyelashes as Jihyo crawled towards her. She rested back as Jihyo kissed low on her chest, pushing down the top of her swimsuit before sucking the skin between her lips.
Sana let her head fall back, letting out a moan, you hugged your knees to your chest, shifting again as more heat started to pool between your legs. She was putting on a show now, and you were sure the whole goal was to rile all of you up. It was working too. Somewhere in the back of your mind you questioned how you had become friends with so many people that liked to initiate orgies.
Jihyo pulled back, a fresh, dark bruise blossoming on Sana’s chest. Sana smiled at her cutely.
“Thank you, Mommy.”
You bit down on your lip as you watched Jihyo taking a deep breath, looking like she could just about devour Sana but restraining herself instead and sitting back on her heels.
“Momo,” Jihyo sniffed, regaining her composure. “Truth or dare?”
“I haven’t picked truth yet,” her voice still sounded even but the way she subtly squirmed her body told you she was very much turned on.
Jihyo sighed, thinking for a moment. “Tell us about one of your favourite porn tropes.”
“See that’s a good question,” she smirked. “I really love the ones where a group of girls all gang up on one girl. Sometimes they’re cheerleaders, maybe lifeguards. The all hold down the one girl and make her cum until she can’t think of anything else and it’s the best fuck she’s ever had.”
Whether she was trying to toy with Sana or Jihyo you didn’t know but you did know that it was getting to you. Without warning your brain started swimming in images of the three of them surrounding you, all pleasuring you at once. Your fingers curled into the hem of your swimsuit as more asorual rushed through your body at the sudden but not unwelcome mental images.
What you absolutely could have done without though, was the whimper that escaped your lips.
You quickly looked around at all three of them, feeling heat licking at your skin and suddenly wishing for a cool breeze. None of them said a word about your outburst, but the looks on their faces made it clear they had all heard you.
“Sana,” Momo said. “Truth or dare?”
“Hmm, truth,” she said.
Momo nodded towards you with a smug look on her face. “If you could do anything to them right now, what would you do?”
“H-Hey!” You cried, curling in on yourself. Momo was definitely just trying to mess with you now. Jihyo, however, just bit her lip, invested in whatever Sana was going to say.
“I just want to eat them out,” she smirked, though her voice was sweet. “I only got such a little taste last time. I just want to push them back and hold their legs open and taste them. I want them dripping on my tongue. I want to know just how wet they’ve been getting watching everything.”
You knew that Sana knew she was making it worse. You did your best to hold still but something about having others around emboldened her. She was far less sweet and far more teasing. You could feel the others with their eyes on you even though your gaze was locked with Sana’s.
Heat licked at your skin as it curled down your spin. You knew you were wet at this point, though your body had long dried from the pool. But the more they talked the more your need grew, even if you were determined to hide just how much everything was affecting you.
“Does that sound good to you?” Sana asked sweetly.
“It sounds fine.” Your voice was so breathy and obviously turned on it wasn’t even funny. Sana looked so very proud of herself as Momo and Jihyo regarded you with the gazes of lionesses just waiting to pounce on their prey.
“Truth or dare?” Sana asked sweetly.
There was no good option at this point.
“Dare?”
A smirk curled Sana’s lips. “I dare you to finger yourself.”
It was a mark of how much the mood had shifted that nobody giggled. Jihyo looked mildly surprised, though more interested in if you would actually do it. Momo was unphased, only expectant.
You felt your skin burning as you looked down.
“C-Come on,” you mumbled. “You already made me half strip.”
“Well if you’re going to forfeit,” Sana said.
“That’d be no fun,” Momo added. “Sana even showed us a fake orgasm.”
“You made Momo play with her nipples,” Sana said.
“Okay,” you said. You spread your legs just the smallest bit, hyper aware of the way they were watching you. You bit down on your lip as you pushed your hand into your swimsuit bottoms. One hand came up to hold your breast, if for no other reason than to cover you a little bit. You slipped your hand down until your fingers found your clit, biting back the moan that threatened to leave your lips at the touch. Of course you were already wet and sensitive, of course it was going to be harder to keep yourself quiet now.
“Wh-Who wants to be-”
“Hold on,” Jihyo stopped you from moving the game along. Apparently she wanted in on the fun now too. “Are you fingering yourself or just touching yourself?”
“I-I”
“Oh naughty,” Sana chided. “The dare was to finger yourself.”
“I know that,” you mumbled. They were all shifting a little closer now, watching you intently. You couldn’t meet anyone’s eyes, feeling a mix of embarrassment and excitement from all the attention. Some part of you wanting even more and your mind refusing to stop playing images of them taking you all at once. Your own finger slid lower. You were still covering yourself shyly as much as you could as you pressed the finger into your heat.
No amount of lip biting or self control could stop the moan that left your lips. Each of them pressed even closer to you as you stopped moving your finger, face burning and butterflies in your stomach. Jihyo reached out to touch you, rubbing your thigh soothingly.
“Sh-Should we move on?” You asked quietly, already knowing the game was long gone from everyone’s minds.
“You’ve barely shown us anything,” Momo said. “You need to properly finger yourself.”
“You need to let us see,” Sana smirked, settling right next to you, her hand landing on your knee. Your body tensed a little but Jihyo hushed you and as you relaxed the two of them pulled your legs apart to see you properly as you slowly curled your finger inside yourself, only doing so halfheartedly and trying to make sense of your overwhelming feelings. You were embarrassed beyond belief but you also couldn’t deny that the ways they were looking at you, the light touches of Sana’s and Jihyo’s fingers, the attention, was turning you on even more. It had you clenching around your finger.
It was no secret to yourself that you wanted this to continue.
“Looks like one part of your suit didn’t quite dry,” Momo murmured. Her fingers reached out to trace the edge of your swimsuit at the apex of your thigh. You took in a sharp breath at the feeling, some part of your brain wondering if you should outright ask them for more.
“I-I It’s still wet,” you mumbled.
“Are you sure it’s still wet?” Jihyo purred, leaning in a little closer to your ear. “Are you sure it’s not freshly wet?”
“It’s- I mean-”
“It’s not very nice to lie to us,” Momo added, sounding more stern than Jihyo had.
“I think we’ll need to see for ourselves.” Sana added.
It wasn’t as if you didn’t know what she was getting at, or where this seemed to be headed. Still, you looked at Sana with wide eyes at her suggestion as Momo hooked her fingers into the waist of your swimsuit bottoms. Sana simply gave you a smirk and Momo looked up at you expectantly. You looked over at Jihyo and she brought her hand up to caress your cheek.
“Can you show us?” She asked softly, really looking to see if you wanted to continue. You nodded slowly for her and she grinned.
Momo pulled off the bottoms of your swimsuit and you let your hand fall away, pulling your finger away from your core. Jihyo shifted partially behind you, pulling off the top of your swimsuit and leaving you bare as they spread your legs again. Each of them let out a moan or whine at the sight of your body and your glistening core. You only took a quick peek at your own pussy before looking away, unable to shake the shyness nor the embarrassment and very aware that they only made you hornier.
“You look so pretty,” Sana moaned, fingers dragging through your folds and sparking pleasure inside you. Jihyo sat behind you, leaning you back against her as Momo ran her fingers over your thighs.
“Fuck, and you got me all turned on, too,” you said, breathiness finally showing in her voice.
“You two could put on a nice little show for them,” Jihyo murmured. “I think I need to help them with their fingering technique.”
Momo was almost rough as she grabbed Sana’s hair, earning a moan from Sana as she pulled her closer. You watched Momo strip off her swimsuit in the moonlight, throwing it aside. Your eyes couldn’t help but rove over her form, the way her hair cascaded down her back, the swell of her breasts, down to her waist and the curve of her hips as she seated herself, spreading her legs and pulling Sana closer.
Sana kissed her feverishly, wasting no time in sinking two fingers into Momo’s awaiting core. Momo let out a moan, knee falling to the side so you could see just what Sana was doing as she started to finger her.
“They look good, don’t they,'' Jihyo hummed, her hand wrapped around you and her fingers found your clit, teasing you lazily.
“Th-They do,” you whimpered, squirming in her grasp. You were already very turned on and the pressure she put on your small bundle of nerves was easily making you wetter and needier. Your whole body felt hot as you melted back into her, desiring nothing more than more of her touch.
Jihyo brought a hand up to your chest.
“You and Sana are turning out to be a lot of fun,” she purred. “Momo is certainly enjoying her.”
Momo let out a moan, her fingers tangled firmly in Sana’s hair as her head fell back. She pushed Sana’s head down roughly and Sana took one of Momo’s nipples into her mouth, sucking on it. Her fingers curled into Momo quickly and you could imagine, could remember how good it felt.
“And you're just too cute,” Jihyo teased. You let out a whimper as she tugged on your nipple, fingers pressing a little harder against your clit and circling just a little faster. Not fully giving you what you craved.
“You are so adorable when you get shy,” She said, making you look away from her. “Even now when I’ve got your legs open. You’re all spread out to the world and you’re still being shy for me. It’s just precious.”
Her words were only turning you on more as you squirmed, trying to rock you hips against her hand for more. The sight in front of you was incredibly arousing, and the way Jihyo moved her fingers had tension building in your body already. Even still, your core was very aware of what it was missing and you found your hands curling into the towel under you as you wondered if Jihyo would try and tell you off for fingering yourself.
“You’ve got such cute tits,” she hummed, tugging on your nipple again. “Does it feel good when I get a little rough with you?”
“Mhm,” you hummed.
“Come on,” she said, squeezing your breast roughly. “You know I have a title.”
“Y-Yes Mommy,” the words dripped from your lips just the way arousal dripped from your cunt. The word managed to turn you on even more, something about the feeling of it leaving your lips was making your head spin. You were starting to feel desperate, squirming more in her grasp as the tension in your body built slowly, but not as fast as you wanted it.
“Very good,” Jihyo hummed. “You should look at your cute little pussy, baby.”
You whined at the pet name, somehow even in this state your brain still had the capacity for shame, though you were sure it wouldn’t take too long before that was gone too. Still, you looked down at your pussy just as she said. Even the moonlight you could see how much her touch was affecting you, already a little swollen from her teasing.
It just made you want to cum even more. Momo’s moans and curses weren’t letting up and Sana was letting out moans of her own, particularly each time Momo pulled her hair. Her ass and thighs kept shifting and rolling as they searched for some kind of friction while she fucked Momo with her fingers.
Their sounds were filling your mind and making you clench around the utter nothing in your cunt. Even though you could get to your high eventually, it was clear Momo was getting closer to hers and you were still frustratingly far from your own, wanting Jihyo to go a little harder, a little faster, instead of taking her time.
You reached a hand between her legs. There was no way she wouldn’t notice, but maybe-
Jihyo grabbed your wrist sharply, pulling your hand away.
“What do you think you’re doing?” She asked.
“I w-want to cum,” you mumbled pitifully.
“So I’m not doing a good job?” She questioned.
“N-No you-”
“You have to do it yourself? I’m not treating you well?”
“N-No th-that’s not- I-I just wanted-” You were shrinking into her, complete putty in her hands now. She was making you feel good, just not fast enough. “I-I want to cum now.”
“I see,” she said. For a moment you were afraid she would pull away and you thought it might just make you cry if she didn’t give you any more attention. But her hand came back to your clit, rubbing much more roughly as her other hand moved to play with your other nipple roughly.
“I’m so nice to you, baby,” she said. “I’ll make you cum. I’ll make sure we keep you cumming until I think you’ve had enough. Does that sound good?”
“Y-Yes Mommy,” you moaned, back arching as tension started through your body, winding you tight. Jihyo’s fingers teased your nipple roughly and her hand didn’t let up on your clit.
“You’re going to cum for me just like this,” she said. “I’m not putting anything inside of you. Your greedy little pussy will just have to wait.”
“Mhm,” your whine was high in your voice as your hips ground and rolled up against her fingers. Your eyes squeezed shut but you could hear Momo moaning out as she came on Sana’s fingers.
“And you’ll be grateful for every orgasm we give you, tonight,” Jihyo said, warning in her tone.
“Yes Mommy,” you breathed, feeling your whole body pulling tight, every muscle tensed as she brought you right to your edge.
“Then cum for me, baby.”
You cried out as you came, legs trembling but you managed to hold them open. You hips ground in circles as she kept teasing your clit and tugging roughly on your nipples while pleasure washed over you, enveloping your senses.
“Th-Thank you, Mommy,” you already knew you had made a mistake tonight and you didn’t want to make more. Her fingers kept teasing you, though much slower. It was still enough to have you jolting and squirming and whimpering in her grasp as she looked up at Momo and Sana.
“Momo,” she called.
You opened your eyes, seeing Momo smirking at you. “Yes?”
“I’d love some time to play with Sana,” Jihyo said. “But they’re just so desperate to keep cumming.” She squeezed your thighs. “They nearly started touching themselves. Do you think you can come over here and help them?”
“Of course,” Momo grinned, releasing Sana’s hair. Jihyo moved away and you managed to sit up as Momo came over and took her place. She was gentle as she rested her legs on either side of you but you knew it wouldn’t last long with how she was with Sana. You bit down on your lip, holding in your whimpers as she dragged her nails over your skin while you watched Jihyo pull off her swimsuit, instructing Sana to do the same. Sana scrambled to follow her lead as you felt Momo’s fingers trail towards your core.
Jihyo gently sat Sana back and spread her legs. You bit down on your lip as you watched Jihyo lower herself onto Sana, starting to grind her pussy against Sana’s and holding onto her leg for support. Sana let out a cute, whiny moan, while Jihyo let out a low groan, leaning forwards to stick a finger in Sana’s mouth and murmuring something to her that you couldn’t hear.
You gasped as you felt Momo spreading your lower lips with one hand and finding you clit with the other. She looked down over your shoulder as she tapped her fingers against your clit quickly. Even though it wasn’t too rough you were already sensitive and the sensation made you squirm and whimper and grip her thighs for support.
“Oh, so sensitive,” Momo teased, rubbing your clit before tapping it again. “It was naughty of you to try and play with yourself.”
“I-I know,” you whimpered.
“Now you better be good for us, can you do that? Can you be good for Mommy and Mistress?”
“Y-Yes Mistress,” you gasped taking her cue. Your legs threatened to close but Momo wasn’t having it.
“Keep them open,” she growled. “I want to see how swollen your pretty little cunt gets when I make you cum.”
“Y-Yes M-Mistress,” You managed, your voice only getting whinier.
“Maybe I should make you cum just like this? What would you say?” She was toying with you, you knew it. But you also knew better than to be a brat at the moment.
“Th-Th- I would- I’d say thank y-you, M-Mistress,” you whimpered, your hips trying to pull away from the quick taps against your sensitive clit. Each one sending an intense jolt of pleasure through your body. But you could only back up into Momo. You had to take it, even though it was already intense and you were only just starting to build to your second orgasm.
“Good job, baby,” she hummed. “Is that what you want?”
You squirmed and whined. Was it a trick or could you actually tell her that your pussy was so frustratingly empty. That you needed something in it.
“You can tell me the truth,” she murmured.
“I-I want s-something inside me,” you moaned, letting out a squeal as her taps got a little bit rougher.
“I can do that for you, baby,” she purred. Finally her fingers relented, one hand slipping down to your core and easily pressing two fingers into you. You moaned out embarrassingly loudly as she curled his fingers into you. After so much waiting the feeling of being full of something was so welcome. Momo’s other hand came up your body and you gasped as she wrapped it around your throat.
“Why don’t you watch the show while I fuck you,” Momo said, squeezing your throat lightly as you brought your eyes up to look at Sana and Jihyo.
Sana’s head had fallen back and her chest was heaving as she gripped Jihyo’s hips. She looked as if she was just on her edge. Though her fake moans had been good, they were nothing compared to the whines and cries falling off her lips now.
Jihyo was grinding down on her hard, moans cascading off her own lips between cooing at Sana and the look of pleasure on her face. She had Sana’s leg up in the air, holding onto it for support while the other rested on Sana’s waist as she chased her high.
You moaned, clenching around Momo’s fingers as they started to fuck into you fast. There was no gentleness to it, moving quickly and nipping at your ear playfully when you let out a broken moan.
“Is this what you wanted?” She teased.
“F-Fuck,” your eyelids were heavy as your body started to tense again. Your legs were already shaking and you were clenching around her fingers as she brought you towards your second orgasm. Momo’s hand squeezed around your throat and your eyes flew open.
“What was that?” She growled.
“Y-Yes Mistress. Thank you M-Mistress,” you whined quickly, trying to save face.
“You just can’t quite behave today, can you?” Momo said. Her hand dropped from your neck as Sana started to cum, crying out and shaking underneath Jihyo who was still grinding on her hard.
Momo’s fingers were relentless, fucking into your fast and rough and making your own legs shake. She brought her other hand down to your clit and you cried out as she started to rub it roughly, only able to press back into her as the intense feeling coursed through your body and you squeezed your eyes shut.
“Poor baby, are you too sensitive for this? Did I make your poor little cunt too sensitive?” She cooed.
You nodded, unable to give her proper words in response. But you just heard Momo chuckle as you squirmed and wriggled in her grasp.
“That’s too bad, I’m not done with you yet.”
Curses and moans fell off your lips at the nearly overwhelming feeling as she played with your clit just as roughly as her fingers fucked you. Your body tensed as you got close to your edge again. You could hear Jihyo’s moans as she came, which only made you clench around Momo’s fingers more. She nipped at your neck.
“Come on, baby.” She murmured. “Cum again, cum for me.”
You cried out, unable to keep your legs open as your body released. Pleasure coursed through you and you shook from the force of your orgasm, grasping at the towel beneath you and squeezing your eyes shut as Momo brought you through your orgasm.
You were tired and twitching when she finally let up. She was gentle as she pushed your legs open again, only to start tapping her fingers against your clit again.
You couldn’t tell if it was harder than before but it didn’t matter. You were so sensitive that the feeling was verging on painful, but not quite. Even if it was a lot, it still felt good.
“Th-Th- Thank you M-M-Mistress,” you managed as Sana and Jihyo came closer.
“I hope you know I’m not done with you yet,” Momo murmured as she let you lay back on the towel. Sana and Jihyo came to sit on either side of you and you gently reached out to touch them both, finding a spot on each of their thighs as you looked up at Jihyo.
“Can you handle some more, baby?” Jihyo asked.
You nodded, your brain struggling to form words. The nod seemed good enough for her though as she threw some sort of glance at Momo. You felt her push your legs back, opening them wide as you laid on your back and you whimpered, already knowing what was coming.
“Shhh,” Jihyo hushed you as she took your hand, rubbing soothing circles into the back of it. “You’re doing so well.”
“And you look so pretty,” Sana added, lying down with you to kiss at your neck. “I still wanna taste you,” she hummed against your skin.
Your mind spun at the idea. You weren’t sure you could handle that much more, but for as overwhelming as it felt, it was also so good. You hadn’t felt this good in a while and you knew when they were done with you you would feel so utterly satisfied.
Sana kissed down to take one of your nipples into her mouth as Momo pressed three fingers into you and drew her tongue over your over-sensitive clit.
Your body jolted and tried to buck up against her as you cried out from the intensity. Momo held you down as she started fingering you quickly again, her tongue lapping over your clit and sending shockwaves through your body each time she did.
Jihyo leaned down over you. “You poor thing, I bet you’re so sensitive now.”
“Y-Yes M-Mommy,” you gasped, gazing up at her. You moaned, back arching off the ground as she took your unattended nipple between her fingers and started rolling it.
“I know, baby,” she cooed. “But you are just so much fun to play with. You sound so cute.”
“You’re so soft,” Sana murmured against you before sucking on your nipple again.
Jihyo threaded her free hand into your hair gently, tilting your head to look at her.
“If it’s too much, just tell me,” her voice was a little more serious. You knew she was checking again, making sure they weren’t pushing you too far. Despite how overwhelming the touch was starting to feel each oragsm that they brought you was better. And your sensitive body was so much faster now, already you could feel the tightening in your core, your body getting tense as your third orgasm approached.
“I-I like it, M-Mommy,” you moaned.
Jihyo smirked down at you, tugging your nipple a little more roughly. “Perfect, baby.”
You panted and moaned and took in the sounds they made. Sana’s were quiet, small sighs and whimpers against your skin, punctuated by words.
“You’re so pretty,” she hummed. “I want to taste you so bad. Everything about you is so divine.”
Her praise only had you clenching around Momo’s fingers more as they fucked into you. Momo let out moans against your core, if only to send the vibrations careening through your nearly fucked out body. She seemed to like it when you squirmed or bucked your hips, holding you still with more force.
The lewd, wet sounds of her fingers fucking you and her tongue lapping at your clit was only adding to everything you were feeling. Your fingers curled around the towel, your other hand grabbing at Sana and holding her close as your body trembled and you managed to look up at Jihyo.
“Are you going to cum for us again, baby?” She grinned.
You could only manage to nod at her, no words forming in your head. Jihyo still played with your hair sweetly.
“Good, cum for us baby.”
You let out a broken cry as you came on Momo’s fingers again. Your cunt squeezed around them tightly as she sucked at your clit. Your eyes rolled back and your back tried to arch up, stopped only by Sana pressing you down as she kept sucking at your nipple. Jihyo played with your other nipple teasing it as you rode through your orgasm until you were twitching and gasping, eyes unable to open.
Momo pulled away from you gently and you laid there, panting as Sana moved away too. Very gently, Jihyo lifted you up a little, laying you back on her but not fully sitting you up, lounging back. You felt Sana pushing your legs up and you whimpered, head lolling to one side. You knew she wanted to taste you but you didn’t know if you could take another orgasm.
Jihyo pressed a kiss under your ear as she and Momo pulled your thighs back until they were nearly flush with your chest.
“All you have to say is stop,” she whispered to you. You felt Sana pressing kisses near your core and Momo trailing her fingers over your legs and hips, but they all gave you a moment to think. You managed to open your eyes, gazing down at Sana’s sweet, hopeful expression and feeling arousal course through you.
How were you still needy? You didn’t know. But you did love the attention they were showering you in. It was so nice, felt so good. You bit your lip, taking in the sight of how swollen your pussy was from so much stimulation.
“Just a little more,” you mumbled.
Momo pressed close to you, lips brushing against yours and pressing your thigh more firmly against you as Sana pressed her face closer, her tongue dipping into your dripping core.
“I thought so,” She murmured. “You’re still needy, aren’t you?”
Jihyo chuckled. “Poor baby can’t get enough of us.”
You whimpered and moaned at the feeling of Sana’s tongue starting to fuck into you. The fact that she was moaning as she did so only made it that much worse. The vibration rushed through your body and you trembled from them as Jihyo and Momo continued to tease you.
“You knew it was a bad idea to try and touch yourself,” Jihyo said.
“That was naughty of you,” Momo added, lips just out of reach for a kiss. “And all we did was give you pleasure.”
You cried out, fully meeting her eye as the fingers of her free hand found one of your nipples. She tugged on it roughly before rolling and pinching it between her fingers quickly. You felt yourself clenching around Sana’s tongue as she fucked it into you.
“You are so lucky,” Momo smirked.
“Y-Yes Mistress,” you gasped.
“We’ll keep being nice to you,” Jihyo murmured. “One more orgasm.”
She waited for a moment and though you whimpered at the thought you didn’t protest. The two of them chuckled as Jihyo’s hand slid down your body.
“I knew they were needy,” Momo grinned.
“Such a needy baby,” Jihyo added as her fingers reached your clit and started rubbing, fast and rough.
The sound that made it past your lips was somewhere between a moan and a scream. The feeling was so intense. Sana’s tongue curling into you, Momo’s fingers playing with your sensitive nipples, and Jihyo toying with your poor clit again. Waves of pleasure were washing through you in an overwhelming way as your body jerked and squirmed in their grasp.
Momo dropped her lips to kiss at your neck and chest while Jihyo nipped at your ear.
“This is just what you wanted, right?” She teased. “The center of attention, everyone making you cum until you can’t think straight?”
“Y-Y-Y-” Words refused to form on your tongue but Jihyo seemed to understand you.
“Exactly what you wanted,” her fingers moved even faster and you felt your eyes rolling back then squeezing shut as tears started to prick them. “To be fucked senseless.”
Your body shook as every part of you tensed. The force of your impending release was almost frightening but also so welcoming as stars started bursting behind your eyes.
“Cum for us again baby, just like you wanted. Cum for us and show us just how well we’ve ruined you.”
You nearly screamed out as you came. Momo and Jihyo held your legs open, Jihyo’s fingers and Sana’s tongue not letting up, nor did Momo as your release crashed over you, nearly knocking you out. You felt your world tilting and you head felt fuzzy as your body shook and jerked and squirmed while pleasure completely sucked you under.
A few tears slipped from your eyes and Jihyo pulled her hands away. Momo and Sana followed suit. You couldn’t open your eyes as you tried to steady your breathing, babbling out a series of “thank yous” as Jihyo turned you onto your side to cuddle into her chest.
“Good job,” she hummed, rubbing your back. “That was such a good job.”
You felt Sana and Momo’s hands on you two, touching you soothingly as your body shook.
“That was so perfect,” Sana murmured, leaving a series of kisses along your skin.
“You took everything so well for us,” Momo added.
You snuggled into Jihyo's chest more, trying to keep calm while the intensity of it pushed you towards tears. Jihyo pressed a kiss to your head, seeming to read you well.
“You can cry if you need to,” she said softly. You shook your head and she chuckled while an alarm went off. Sana looked around, finding her phone in her bag.
“Oh crap, it’s 10.”
You managed to look up as Momo looked at you worriedly. “We have to go.”
“It’s okay,” your voice was a bit rough as you managed to speak.
Momo gave your thigh a squeeze and Sana kissed your nose as they scrambled to get their things back on before they headed to their cabin. You sat up and Jihyo followed you, not letting you sit up yet.
“Hold on,” she said. “Are you alright?”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” you said, trying to push the swell of emotions down.
Jihyo held your jaw gently, looking at you a little more intently. You felt everything rushing back up to the surface and your face scrunched up as you started to cry.
“I-I’m sorry,” you blubbered as she pulled you against her chest.
“It’s alright,” she soothed, rubbing your back. “That was intense. Just let it all out. You can come stay the night with me if you want.”
“Yes, please,” you sniffled, clinging to her and nuzzling your head into her neck.

Feeling Colours - Part Two
Pairing: Draco Malfoy x Hufflepuff!Reader
Word count: 2500 give or take
Summary: Draco’s feelings for the reader start to grow
Warnings: fluff, excessive drinking, mentions of throwing up, kissing, nothing explicit, Draco being a softie (lmk if this needs more warnings)
Masterlist | Part One
Your eyes fluttered open to find Draco Malfoy sitting on a chair next to you, breathing quietly like sleep was finally hitting him. Ruffled blond strands of hair fell over his weary eyes and he’d used his suit jacket as a makeshift blanket.
Your first instinct was to silently lift up your covers and check if your clothes were still intact and thank Merlin they were.
“Have a little faith Y/n.” Draco grumbled, startling you in the process as he struggled to lift himself into a more comfortable position. “I would never take advantage of a drunk girl.”
Fragments of the previous night came back to you when you heard him say that.
The party, the burn of the booze, the dust-filled broom closet, the throwing up, the taste of soup and the strong and sturdy arms of the boy now looking at you with a sheepish grin on his face.
You eased at the sight of his smile. There came a certain type of comfort after someone had seen you throwing your guts up.
“Thank you for last night Draco.”
“Like I said before Miss raging alcoholic, Don’t make a habit of it.” He let out a small yawn and started to smooth out his hair but much to his dismay, the strands refused to cooperate.
You couldn't help but laugh at the displeased look on his face. “Here, let me—”
“NO. I absolutely refuse to let you touch my hair.” He protested, grabbing both your wrists before your fingers could make contact with his precious hair.
“Come on Malfoy.” You pleaded, now fully out of bed and trying to break free from his hands. “I swear I can fix it for you.”
“Nope.” He said firmly as he tried his hardest to maintain a straight face. “Stop it—No please not the sides—no..”
“Please, just a bit more...ah okay….there we go.”
“Haven’t you done enough Hufflepuff?!”
“Oh. that rhymed.” You laughed, still touching his hair when the two of you accidently tumbled onto the chair he was originally sleeping on.
Draco was agile in cushioning your fall with one of his hands balancing himself on the armrest and one hand wrapped around your waist.
It was only the second time he’d saved you from falling and you were already getting used to it.
Something inside of you was immediately hoping that Draco would be there to break your fall for a third time too.
It felt good with him.
It felt safe with him.
~~~
Alone at the school courtyard in the afternoon of the next day, Draco sat down in a far corner to rearrange his cluttered thoughts about you into tidy little compartments in his brain.
It should have been easy for him. He was a natural occlumens after all.
But for some bizarre reason, he couldn't find a way to erase your name, the sound of your voice and your scent that was slowly dominating all four lobes of his brain and all four chambers of his heart.
Even with the sun still in the sky, the occasional gust of wind made his hands turn cold so he instinctively shoved his hands into his blazer pocket to warm up.
It was only then that he realised that he’d completely forgotten to give your locket back to you.
~~~
A few days had now passed and Draco had gotten several opportunities to give your necklace back to you.
First it was at the great hall.
He watched you intently from the Slytherin table, waiting for the perfect opportunity to talk to you while you nibbled on a cupcake.
His Adam's apple bobbed as he watched you lick the powdery pink frosting off your Peony lips.
He wasn’t all that fond of those cupcakes you were eating but he’d have done anything for a taste of the frosting from your lips.
Before he could even manage to walk over to you, you stood up and walked away with your friends.
When you were close to the exit however, you paused and turned towards the Slytherin table to give him a tiny smile.
He quickly reached into his pocket to look at the locket, it was the exact pink shade of the frosting.
~~~
The second time he tried to return it was at Potions class.
Theo had so graciously agreed to switch partners with Draco and Snape did not seem to mind as long as the potions were brewed right.
“Crush the petals as best you can before dropping them into the cauldron.” Snape instructed and you quickly grabbed a fistfull of rose petals.
Draco watched in awe as you crushed rose petals in your hands, releasing the floral aroma into the atmosphere. The scent caught onto clothes and a flush crept onto his face.
“Well, are you going to help me, Malfoy?”
Draco silently copied your motion and stirred the cauldron till the potion was simmering and ready.
Returning your locket in the middle of Severus’s class did not seem like a smart idea so he decided to come up with a better one.
“We are having another party in the dungeons on Friday. You should come and bring Abott if you’d like.” Draco shrugged it off like it was the most casual thing ever.
“Will there be elf made wine?” You wiggled your eyebrows at him and he let out a rather loud scoff earning the attention of the sulky potion’s master.
“Malfoy, Y/l/n.” Snape called out, looking as unimpressed as ever. “Detention.Saturday.”
“Incorrigible.” Draco muttered and you nudged him in the rib with your elbow.
“Two Saturdays.” Snape said, before dismissing the entire class.
On his way out, Draco discreetly sneaked a peak of the necklace in his pocket because he already knew what colour it was going to be.
It was the exact same pink of the rose petals you were crushing.
~~~
Two days had gone by since potions class and Draco was no longer fazed when the necklace emulated the same shades of pink from the bubblegum you were blowing or the fuschia ribbon in your hair.
Draco also didn’t think it was necessary to make another attempt to return your necklace until Friday.
He already had a lot of things preoccupying his mind like actually planning the party.
There had been no Slytherin Party planned for Friday before Draco invited you and now, He was getting his friends to help him arrange one.
Crabbe and Goyle were tasked with getting more liquor, Blaise and Theo were responsible for music and food while Draco was responsible with the overall logistics like silencing charms and getting the word of the party out.
“All this for a girl.” Blaise mocked. Theo took this moment to whisper something to Crabbe who then whispered something to Goyle.
“Care to say it out loud, Nott?” Draco seethed as he watched his friends clutch their stomachs and laugh out loud.
“Theo called you a simp.” A teary eyed Goyle spluttered.
“A what now?”
~~~
Friday’s party topped the previous one.
More people, A wider selection of liquor, wine varietals, good food and music blasting so loud that the floors were vibrating.
As per usual, Hannah had already disappeared into some dark little corner with her paramour leaving you all alone with a group of Slytherin girls.
“I love your dress!” Exclaimed a tipsy looking Daphne Greengrass who herself was wearing a gorgeous turquoise number.
“Thank you.” You replied, giving her your most polite and friendly smile.
“Come now, let's go and dance already.” Pansy crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at the interaction. Although it wasn’t super obvious, you sensed that Pansy wasn’t too pleased to have you there.
Daphne intertwined her hands to yours and pulled you into the dancefloor with herself, Pansy Tracey Davis and Millicent Bulstrode.
Daphne’s surprisingly amiable nature took you by surprise but you decided to go with it. It was a party after all.
When she placed her hands on your shoulders, you mirrored. When she swayed her hips, so did you.
“He can't stop staring at you now, can he?” Daphne shouted into your ear over the music as you both continued to dance together.
“I’m sorry who?” You shouted back.
“Malfoy.” Daphne giggled. “ He’s been watching you all night actually. Why do you think he hosted this party in the first place?”
You stole a quick glance at Draco when no one was looking. He was sipping on a glass of whisky and watching you from a distance.
He had ditched his all black attire for a white button down shirt. The top two buttons were undone and his hair had a sort of laid back look to it
“See?” Daphne shouted again. “Hasn’t even taken his eyes off you once. It's driving Pansy nuts.”
Just to confirm if Daphne was in fact telling the truth, you tilted your head to the side to get a bitter view of him and the minute you did, your eyes met with his.
Heat spread all across your cheeks and he raised his glass to you as an acknowledgement before quickly turning away.
After that, it was just an intense and tactical little gambit of who caught who staring.
He covertly watched you sway your hips and you secretly noticed the way he tapped his fingertips on the glass he was holding.
Both of you refused to relent to whatever game this was up until the point where he grabbed a bottle of fire whisky and started to walk away.
You didn't even need to think twice about where he was headed.
“Go on.” Daphne nudged encouragingly.
~~~
Draco pulled the closet door open and stepped inside with a smile playing at his lips.
The last time he was there, he was introduced to you, your scent, your smile, your eyes.
Before that night in the closet, he took colours at their face value. They were nothing more than visual representations of light—what amount, what hue, what saturation.
It was strange how things had changed for him.
Not only did you make him see colours in a whole new light, you made him feel them, you made him hear them.
As Draco settled down with his drink, he saw the door creak open.
It was still dark but he could already tell that it was you by the scent of your perfume. Oh, he could never ever forget that aroma even if he tried.
Lumos.
Draco held his wand in front of him and allowed himself to turn to his side to get a better view of you.
Never had he ever seen someone glow the way you did under the lumos charm. The radiance in your eyes, the pearlescence of your skin and the curvature of your lips made him lightheaded.
“I feel like this closet is going to be a recurring thing for us huh?” You beamed at him and he found himself swooning.
Salazar Slytherin. Nott was right. He was a simp.
“I guess so.” Draco quickly answered, Blaming this dizziness on the lack of ventilation while taking a big sip of his drink.
“I don’t mind.” You said and twisted open the bottle of wine you’d brought with you.
“Don’t tell me you brought another bottle of that god awful wine in here.”
“It’s actually not that bad and it gets you drunk way quicker.” You shrugged.
“Why do I feel like I might have to walk you to your dorm again?”
He watched you take a long slow sip of wine and couldn’t help himself from noting that your lips were slowly getting stained red with the fruity nectar.
“Might?” You shook your head. “Sorry to break it to you, but this wine is going to catch up with me soon.”
Draco jokingly palmed his face, earning a laugh from you. It seemed like the perfect time to hand you your lost possession back.
“Atleast, I’ll know when you are going to be sick though.” Draco said as he fished for the locket in his pocket.
“How come?”
“Because of this.” He explained, holding the necklace out. “I’m sorry I should have given it back sooner.”
“That’s okay.” You murmured softly and pushed your hair away from your neck and he instantly took this as a cue to drape the necklace back to where it belonged.
“Ah…there you go.” He whispered into your ear before shifting back to look at the gem.
Draco expected it to be pink but to his astonishment, the gem had already turned a vibrant red.
A new colour.
He could see red in the apples of your cheeks.
He could feel red pumping through his veins and hear red in the way his heart was rapidly beating.
“It’s red.” You commented and he slowly nodded.
Even though he knew what red was for him, he needed to hear your interpretation before making his next move.
“What does red mean to you y/n?”
“To me, well…..red represents um..passion, something fiery, something that burns bright, leaves you breathless.” You whispered looking as if you were feeling almost as breathless as him.
Draco swallowed hard when he noticed just how close your face was to his.
“Y/n?”
“Hmm?”
“If I kissed you right now, would you kiss me back?”
He noticed that your breathing was progressively getting shorter. You looked startled at his sudden question but held his gaze nonetheless.
“I guess you’ll have to see for yourself, Draco.”
He couldn’t help but let out a hoarse chuckle before pressing his forehead to yours. “Is that an invitation hm?”
You didn’t say a word but the deepening red color of your necklace gave everything away.
Any remaining doubt in his mind went away when he felt you caress his cheeks with your cold hands.
He gently let his fingers slip into your hair as he closed the distance between your lips.
The kiss was reminiscent of the rush of first love. The innocence, the giggles.
The kiss paid homage that perfumed night in the broom closet that had started it all.
The kiss was bleeding, seeping, trickling In various shades of red and he was drinking every drop.
Draco Malfoy could finally tell what the colour red tasted like.
It tasted like your wine stained lips.
He backed away and placed a gentle kiss on the top of your head and you gave him a shy smile in return.
~~~
The two of you spent the remainder of the party inside the closet.
Drinking, talking, laughing and more kissing.
So much kissing.
“Alright y/n, let’s get you to your room now shall we?” Draco sighed when he noticed that you were getting more and more inebriated by the minute. “Come on.”
You struggled to step out of the closet and almost tripped on your own two drunken feet.
Almost.
“As if I’m going to let you fall face first.” He mumbled to himself before lifting you up in his arms.
You let out a small laugh before looking up at him.
“Draco?”
“Hmm?”
“I know you said to not make a habit of this but unfortunately for you, I already have.”
FIN.
Obey Me: MC is Hiding Something
When MC first awakens in the council room no one thinks much of them. They’re sitting there shivering like a dog left out in the rain and refuses to meet anyone’s eyes.
Lucifer starts to wonder what in devil’s name made you a good candidate for this exchange program. You barely had enough courage to answer when Lord Diavolo welcomed you so graciously, much less look dignified in any way.
Something odd he does observe though is, despite your silence and obvious terror, you seemed to accept the concepts of a Devildom and of RAD and him and his brother very easily or maybe you were just nodding along insipidly.
Mammon’s opinion of you is even lower. He already hated the idea of having to watch and make sure some stupid human didn’t get themselves killed on their first week. Damn it! That wasn’t his job! They can’t even carry a conversation, always just staring and watching everybody.
The human doesnt seem to have any kind of motivations or idea as to what they wanna do. Lucifer will never know if he leaves you alone at school for a while considering you’ve found your friends group with the other exchange students. And at home he sees no problem with letting you go off for just an hour or two. All you really do is walk around and examine the rooms and grounds. Maybe you’re an architecture freak or something.
Leviathan barely pays you any mind when you arrive, not like he ever has the chance to, being that he never leaves his room outside of going to class. But during breakfast he does notice how interested you seemed in the game console he’s playing on. And for a moment he wonders if you’re a gamer or an otaku too
but no, ugh you’re just some normie. You watch Asmo obsess over his compact mirror and Satan over whatever book he’s holding just the same. And you’re conversation is shit like Mammon said. Listless and lacking enthusiasm. But he doesnt stop you when you watch over his shoulder when he plays.
Satan doesn’t have a problem with you. That said, he doesn’t particularly like you. But he can respect how much time you seem to spend in the library, and how many books you borrow about the devildom and kinds of demons. It made sense, you wanted to know the kind of creatures you were surrounded by.
he does wonder though, why one day you seem to be borrowing a lot of Solomon’s books and Solomon’s time as well. But then again, that makes sense too, you were both human after all. Maybe you would stop flinching and get even a little more comortable with someone your race around. When one of his tomes disappear, he interrogates Mammon because of course, it’s Mammon.
Asmo likes your style. It’s not particularly glamorous or eye-catching but it matches your aesthetic. He especially admired your choices in acessories. The amulet you’re always wearing is so pretty and he swears sometimes it almost glows. And your rings were peak Devildom fashion, sharp, edgy iron designs. But he especially adored the silver spike earring you wore.
He was both delighted and smug that he was the first one to get a little closer to you. But of course, how could you resist! You even complimented the perfume he was wearing and asked where he got it. And he directed you to his favorite oils and essences shop that supplied products and ingredients from every realm. And while applying some to your wrist he catches a glimpse of a tattoo peeking out from under your sleeve but you pull your hand away, bashful. Oh, he’ll get you to show him someday. Heehee.
Beel is curious how a human can eat so much. He’s been told human athletes apparently eat a lot to maintain muscle mass and strength and the like but looking at you, you didn’t seem the type to do anything strenuous. Except he does notice that when a demon bumps you in the hall, you’re not hurt or thrown off despite the size difference. And when you’re purposely knocked into by someone else, your reaction is fast, pivoting out of the way and behind the demon and you almost look like...
Nah. You weren’t going to attack him, you began to cower and apologize again and again until Mammon had to drag you way before it got any more embarrassing. The next time you pique his interest is at the gym in the house. You always make sure to go at a time when there isn’t anyone else and he happened to go after you. But it couldn’t have been you that just used that machine. Were you really capable of lifting that much?
Luke and Simeon are sympathetic, Simeon understands the discomfort and the adjustment and answers any questions you have about the brothers and how not to piss them off or placate them if ever you did make them angry. He answers your questions about RAD and the program but does wonder. Wherever did you get an angel relic like the one hanging from your ear?
Luke says you shouldn’t be afraid of those no good demons, if anything happens you can run to Purgatory Hall and they’ll help. He promises. He likes your company and starts up baking with you, teaching dishes and pastries. He tells you a lot about Michael and lets slip things about Lucifer and the brothers back when they were still angels. You don’t push him on the subjects but you do seem pretty interested.
it all came together, very easily. First the lights, Leviathan’s screams echo in the halls as he laments not having saved soon enough. Asmodeus’ whining about losing such good selfie lighting came next and both come out into the hall, yelling for their older brother. “Lucifer!”
If not for that, Lucifer probably wouldn’t have noticed, having been locked up in his firelit office since dinner was over. Heaving a sigh he gets up. All of the yelling told him the lights were out so how could he have expected the brilliant flash of white that burned his eyes when he opened his door. He stumbles, leaning on the door frame for support as footfalls race down the hall.
He growls, feeling his wings and horns materialize but something isn’t right. His vision doesn’t return and his skin starts to burn. In the air he catches the faintest scent of something he hasn’t smelled in a long time. Holy oil.
When the little light in the fridge fades, Beel thinks he may have fucked up. But then it turns out the whole house is out so it must just be some prank. He keeps eating, uncaring whether or not he identifies what it is he’s shoveling into his mouth. Then he smells it.
once upon a time he’d caught Luke with some kind of cookies from the celestial realm. And they were some of the best cookies he’d ever had in his existence. He could never forget that smell, so when it wafts through the air coming from the main hall, he follows. Drool begins to gather beneath his tongue.
He misses the sharp, metallic scent drifting beneath it.
Satan’s vexation spikes when his reading light goes out and his peace and quiet is distrubed by his idiot brothers. Mammon probably tried to turn the power off in Levi’s room to get him out so he can sneak in and steal his stuff again. But then Asmo starts yelling, and one cry from Lucifer rattles his bones.
It’s enough to get him on his feet. But what draws a gasp from him is the flash of lightning that gives him his sight for a moment. White lightning, an impossibility in the devildom’s ever red tinged sky. He goes to the window, knocking a stack of tomes over and unlatches it. But it doesn’t budge. Using the light on his D.D.D. he tries again but it just won’t open.
Outside Satan’s door heavy footsteps, thump along in a slow rhythm. Satan races to the door and Beel is there trudging along the carpet like a zombie, his nose perched in the air.
“Beel?! What the-? What are you doing?”
“Hey what’s the big idea!? Where are you guys!? Who’s doing that weird singing?!”
Mammon calls out into the mansions, just as confused as everyone else. Satan’s brows furrow; he didn’t cause this, then. He’s about to answer but Mammon yelps, and a resounding thwack has Satan grab Beel, and race towards the sound, almost stumbling over each other’s feet in the dark. They’re only guide is the ocassional flash of white and the sound of chanting growing louder as they grow near.
It is still pitch black but years of experience and spatial awareness tells him they’re in the foyer. Satan ventures out, almost tripping over something on the ground; it’s Mammon. He lays at the top of the steps, passed out. Satan is about to shake him awake when Leviathan and Asmo come out of a hall holding up Lucifer between them. Another flash. Lucifer’s demon form flickers in and out, smoke rising from his blistering skin. Satan freezes and Beel picks up Mammon in his arms.
“Satan! What the hell is going on!?” Levi calls out into the dark over the spell.
The chanting stops. So does the lightning and they’re plunged into complete darkness. They hear the sound of plastic and a baggie hits Beelzebub square in the chest, landing on Mammon’s stomach. “Cookies?”
He smells that first but then they recognise the other scent prominent in the air as blood.
Human blood.
“Wait, where’s MC?!” Asmo’s voice comes from the black. “Are they trapped somewhere?”
Someone laughs.
“Oh, you don’t need to worry about that.”
Lightning flashes again, bathing the foyer in glaring white. It’s only for a moment but their eyes are quick enough. It becomes clear where the stench of blood was coming from. “After all, I’m not trapped in here with you...”
Your eyes seem to glow, vacant of whatever fear or trepidation you’ve deceived them with for weeks. In your hand is the earring Asmo admired so much, the silver tip dripping red. At your side, your palm is sliced open, already clotting as you’ve used all you needed for the seal activating the devil’s trap around the entire house. Your sleeves are pushed up to the elbows the sigils and signs inked into your skin tasting air again after so long. As you place your hand on the seal they come alight. Your lips curl over your teeth.
“You’re trapped in here....with me.”
Solomon knows a demon slayer when he sees one. And he tells you right off the bat whatever you’re planning it isn’t a good idea. You’re outnumbered and overpowered by them.
but then he sees otherworldly magic light up the skies and decides maybe it’s a good time to visit the House of Lamentations.
Joining Him On In The Soop ~ Kim Seokjin
It all felt too good to be true as you took a seat in one of the deckchairs, lifting your sunglasses up, looking over the river, enjoying the peace and quiet. The commotion of the boys was all behind you, until you felt a thud land in the middle of your tummy, looking down to notice a ping pong ball in your lap.
“Sorry Y/N!” Jimin yelled, running down the grass bank to pick up the ball. “I’m trying to teach your boyfriend a thing or two about table tennis, but it’s not going as well as I hoped.”
“Let me guess, he’s showing off?” You asked, sniggering as his head nodded in response. You glanced back at Jin who shrugged innocently, raising his paddle in the air. “Give him a chance Jin!”
“I’ve given him plenty of chances, he’s rubbish.”
Your eyes rolled, “did no one ever teach you to look after your younger members?”
A response was absent as the two of them picked their game back up, both of them shouting at each other across the table as they desperately tried to win. You couldn’t help but watch on with a smile, as nice as the peace was, so was the sound of the boys enjoying themselves.
Eventually the game to an end, with Jin graciously accepting victory, running around the garden with his arms in the air before sitting down beside you. “I was on fire! Were you watching?”
“I was, you did great.”
His figure nudged against your side creating the perfect space for him to slide beside you on the chair, wrapping his arm around you, allowing your body to curve into his side, shielding your face from the hot beams of the summer sun.
“I heard that you were doing dinner tonight, can you really be trusted to do sashimi?”
“I don’t trust myself,” he chuckled, “but apparently everyone else does. Maybe you could give me a hand? I’m sure you’d love to get your hands in the tank and help me catch a fish.”
“If you think I’m going anywhere near that, you’re mistaken. If I so much as smell fish on you, you can find somewhere else to sleep tonight,” you pointed out.”
He chuckled, tapping his hand against your side, “how could you possibly resist me?”
Your eyes turned to him, glancing back at the chaotic boys behind you, “there’s six of your best friends behind me who will happily entertain me, whilst also not stinking of fish.”
Whilst he knew you could never mean it, that never stopped him from getting protective of how much time you spent with the boys. As much as you were joining them on vacation as a group, he was also very much looking forward to all the time the two of you could spend together, alone, without any of your usual interruptions.
It didn’t take long for your peaceful moment to be broken by the demanding yells of the boys for food, hearing Jin groan beside you, bringing a smile to your face.
“I swear having children would be less demanding than this, don’t you think?” He huffed.
“Just think of it as practice for when the real thing happens.”
You meant nothing by your comment as you kicked Jin off the chair, allowing your legs to stretch out, but it most definitely stuck with him. Kids was a topic that was still very taboo for you both, but over the past few months especially, Jin had spotted you dropping more hints about starting a family together.
He tried not to think too much of it as he began preparing dinner for the boys with Jungkook and Yoongi around to give him a helping hand. Every so often he’d look out and see you in a competitive game of badminton with Taehyung or racing the RC boats with Namjoon by the river as you patiently waited for your meal.
Once it was finally prepared, Jin was hasty in sitting down beside you, passing you all that you needed before taking care of the rest of the boys, resting his hand against your leg.
Throughout the whole meal Jin had your attention, he was attentive, much more than usual, jumping every time you spoke, refusing to take his eyes away from you.
After you’d helped Taehyung and Namjoon clean away, a cold hand slipped into yours, walking down to the river as the sun began to set. “I wanted to speak to you,” Jin whispered closely.
“Everything alright?” You asked as he sat you in between his legs, wrapping his arms around your waist. “You were a bit odd during dinner.”
His head nodded, leaning to rest against the nape of your neck. “It’s just…you made a comment earlier about children, and it got to me. Have you really thought about the two of us having children, is it something you can see happening for the two of us?”
Hearing you giggle lightly brought a soft smile to his lips, answering him simply with a kiss to the back of his hand. For a long time, kids had been playing on your mind, you and Jin were in a stable place, which you hoped would continue for a long time.
“I’ve always thought about it, but only seriously with you. You take such good care of the boys, it makes me wonder what you’d be like if we had little ones of our own,” you admitted, “what about you? Is it something you’ve ever thought about?”
“I’ve thought a lot today,” he informed you, reflecting back to his time in the kitchen. “Maybe once we get back home, we could give it a bit more thought, when we have time to ourselves?”
“I like your thinking,” you blushed, feeling his lips trace along the nape of your neck. “Do you reckon we should head back up? Make sure they’re not causing any trouble?”
His head shook, but the shout that soon followed of Hobi made you both jump high enough to race back up to the house, walking in to see the airplane he’d been struggling to build dismantled on the floor. Jimin stood innocently beside him, smiling weakly at the mess he’d so obviously caused.
You knelt down by Hobi, collecting all the pieces, and unfolding the instructions, seeing as best you could how the problem could be resolved. “We’ll get it back together, don’t worry,” you assured him, beginning the long process of building.
Two hours later, the plane was back to its usual state, and the familiar smile Hobi proudly wore appeared back on his face. “How did you even do that? You’re such a mum Y/N, I honestly don’t know what we’d do without you.”
“It’s no big deal, just a bit of patience was all it took,” you smiled, walking out of the room to find Jin, smiling as Hobi began to enjoy the toy again, running out into the garden with it.
“See, you’ll be a great mum,” Jin softly spoke once you’d found him, feeling his arms pull you into his chest.”
Your head shook, “dealing with grown adults is a whole different ball game to actual children.”
“You really underestimate how childlike all of us are.”
Little Boy Blue
Mahiru is tired.
Kuro can see it, in the way his folding isn’t as neat, in the way the vegetables in their dinner aren’t as uniformly chopped, in the way his head bobs during school lessons, his laughter isn’t as loud, how he doesn’t check half so well before he crosses the street and needs the ever watchful hand of Sakuya to drag him back from the curb, a shout on the subclass’s lips, scolding and fussing about the car that had just whizzed past their little group.
Mahiru is tired, but he refuses to rest.
And it’s driving Kuro mad.
It’s as Mahiru is jerked and prodded, worried and fussed over by his trio of school friends, that Kuro makes a decision.
His Eve will get some sleep, whether he wants to or not.
Thankfully for him, he knows Mahiru wants it. The frustrating part is that his stupid, incredible, wonderful human doesn’t think he’s earned it. Not yet. Not when there was still more to do.
Which meant, joy of joys… He needed some help.
Good thing he had three ready made volunteers right there with him on the curb.
Now to convince them.
***
The easiest part, by far, was getting them to go along with his plan. Slipping into Mahiru’s bag to use the cellphone Tooru had bought him (every time he thought about it, he still couldn’t believe it. His own phone, his own clothes, his own games, his own… Everything, really), he sent a single text to three different numbers.
Mahiru’s exhausted. Help me get him to chill out?
The hard part…
“Hey, Mahiru! It’s been a while since we all last had a sleepover, right?”
“Huh? Oh, yeah, it has…”
“Since we’re already going to be walking you home to make sure you don’t wander out into traffic…”
“It was an accident!”
“Party at Mahiru-sama’s place~!”
“Would you stop with that stupid… Fine! But Sakkun is paying for the food!”
… Wasn’t actually that hard? But, well. Leave it to the grungy joker to just… Steamroll his way into Mahiru’s place, invited or not. And become a steamed cabbage in the process.
The power of Mahiru-sama is frightening indeed…
***
The first order of business when the five of them arrive at Mahiru’s apartment is taken care of handily by, once again, Sakuya.
“Pizza time!” he crows, tapping the order into a website Kuro only vaguely recognizes the name of. It’s not a delivery app, but the website’s own page, and while he’s busy with that, Kuro hops out of Mahiru’s bag, ready to go fetch blankets and pillows from the linen closet in order to set them all up.
Except Mahiru’s two human friends beat him to it.
All the better, he thinks, as he hops up onto the couch to watch them spread things out right in front of the TV. The living room is small, the area they’ve chosen to occupy even more so, but it’s what he would have chosen for Mahiru, too, to cram them all together, to surround his Eve with the simple pressure and warmth of his loved ones crowded close.
Not for the first time, and certainly not the last, Kuro is so… Grateful for Mahiru’s friends. Before him, and even after him, they will love Mahiru like a brother, like a family, know him in ways he can’t, the same way Gear knows him in ways Mahiru never will.
And that’s fine. To be known is to be loved, and more than anyone, Mahiru deserves it.
“Mahiru, can you help Ryuu-chan? I’m gonna go make sure Sakuya doesn’t burn your kitchen down trying to make popcorn.”
“Hey! I’ll have you know, I’m always the one who makes the popcorn when Shamrock can’t!”
“And how much of it do you burn?”
“Less than you, so nyeh.”
 Maybe he should go watch them.
“Ah, Kuro, don’t get your fur on the counter!”
“Can’t deal…”
At the least, Mahiru seems to already be feeling better. It’s like magic. The best kind Kuro has ever seen.
***
Kuro spends the night as a cat, nestled in Mahiru’s lap or lying across his back, little paws kneading his Eve’s flesh and purring up a storm, extra sweet and extra soothing, while the other three pile around them. Mahiru is… Quiet. But not a bad quiet, no. A good quiet, letting the presence of the other people in their home wash over him, their bickering and their teasing, not a host but just a friend, just another kid, a kid with greasy fingers and a half drunk bottle of cola and two boxes of extra large pepperoni pizzas with cheesy bread set out before them.
“Where the heck do you find these pizza places I’ve never heard of?” Ryuusei asks after a particularly long cheese stretch has him craning his head back and holding his arms out, making the other three laugh, “This is great.”
“Vampire SNS,” Sakuya tells him proudly, and snickers once more at the tongue click it nets him.
Much to Kuro’s surprise, after building their little nest, the green haired vampire had graciously given up his preferred spot next to Mahiru without a word, instead settling himself shoulder to shoulder with the short one, Ryuusei, while he and Koyuki had pressed themselves up against Mahiru like they were trying to merge with him. It’s a tangle of arms and legs, like cats lying one on top of the other, physical closeness that speaks volumes of the emotional one they’ve cultivated with each other, and which they were slowly, Kuro felt, trying to ease him into.
It was a strange feeling. Being included.
But it wasn’t one he hated by any means.
Ryuusei flops his head against Mahiru’s arm, cheek squishing ridiculously as he squints at the screen. “Who picked this again?”
The crunching from Mahiru’s right stops, and a bowl of half eaten popcorn, buttery and with the perfect amount of salt, is nudged his Eve’s way. Wordlessly, Mahiru grabs up a big handful of it, stuffs it in his mouth with a knowing little smile, a sort of carelessness Kuro can never seem to invoke on his own.
The shuffling of fabric, and Koyuki leans onto Mahiru’s shoulder as well, the barest hint of a pout to his voice. “Does it matter? Even bad movies are fun when we’re together.”
“You’re cheesier than this pizza,” Sakuya teases, and Mahiru grins, laughs, finally says something, the exhaustion all but gone from his voice.
“That means Koyuki definitely picked it.”
“So you’re the one responsible!” Ryuusei shouts, and Koyuki flicks popcorn at him, bounces it right off his head.
“Shut up! You can change it, y’know.”
“Well, we’re already this far in,” Mahiru muses, and Sakuya quietly plucks the floor tainted popcorn up to place on a napkin, “Might as well finish it.”
Kuro is… So glad that Mahiru has friends who can do this for him. To do the things he can’t. This sense of total normalcy, of being just another teenager… It’s not really something he can help with. Not really. He knows he’s the type to overthink, to become discouraged when his efforts don’t get immediate results.
But now Mahiru is laughing again.
It’s everything he could have asked for.
***
Hours upon hours later, the only light in the room is from the flickering TV screen, and the only sounds are the soft breaths of four teenage boys, fast asleep right there on the floor.
Kuro finally rouses himself, gets up, stretches, and carefully picks his way down Mahiru’s back. Only then does he allow himself to transform back into a human, cracking his neck, his back, and sighing heavily at the relief it grants his stiff joints.
It’s time to get to work. All that effort would be meaningless if Mahiru woke to a mess, so clean up crew Kuro shall be.
First go the soda bottles. Back into the fridge, without a label or a care for who had drunk from what, because it’s not like those four cared anyway, but Mahiru hated to waste food. Honestly, Kuro was in agreement on that much, but especially when it came to his favorites. So, twisting each cap tightly back into place, he made sure to set them up in plain sight so that they’d be finished in the morning (and if not by their owners, by him), blocking the light of the fridge with his own body and the tails of his coat so as not to disturb the quartet of friends.
Next were the pizza boxes. Each one was completely empty, but that was no surprise, given that there were two shared between the five of them. Even the little banana peppers included had been devoured. If Kuro had to guess… Mahiru. For some godforsaken reason, his Eve adored things that set his mouth on fire, and no amount of “it’s not that spicy!” would change Kuro’s opinion that Mahiru, sweet faced, stubborn, wonderful Mahiru, just wanted to see what the fires of hell tasted like.
(And maybe he was a bit of a baby when it came to peppers, but clearly that wasn’t his fault)
Onto the counters the pizza boxes went.
Next came the bowl of popcorn, filled with nothing but unpopped kernels, then the plates, then the napkins, then the painstaking process of picking up every infernal piece of popped corn that had been jokingly thrown about between friends with zero thought for who would have to clean it up all up.
Considering how many Sakuya had tossed, he had a feeling the other vampire had known Kuro would take it upon himself to tidy up their garbage, and found himself cracking an annoyed, if fond, smile.
Little brat.
Mess more or less taken care of, Kuro had one last task to complete, and fetching the fluffiest quilt he could find from the closet that hadn’t already been used to pad out the hard tile in front of their TV, he carefully, carefully, spread it out over the pile of sleeping boys. Not a one stirred, not even Mahiru.
His smile turned ever so slightly bitter.
Well, that was fine. That was good, even, because it meant that, more than he’d thought, Mahiru had needed this night, this little slice of being normal, of simplicity.
Looking at each face in turn… He thought that maybe, all of them had.
Himself included.
Tucking himself into the crook of Mahiru’s neck was easy, a warm, furry weight that had his Eve curling up even more, ever so slightly, setting off a chain reaction as each teenager also shifted, one or two murmuring in their sleep, shuffling closer to each other like small birds seeking safety and comfort during a storm.
And that was fine, too. Kuro would watch over their dreams, every one.
Sleep tight, guys. Sweet dreams...
Had Me By Halftime
*Not my gif*
Pairing: Kevin Atwater x Reader
Requested: Yes
Prompt: Based off the song Had Me By Halftime by Morgan Wallen
Warnings: Swearing
A/N: I know this game was on a Monday but we’re gonna pretend it wasn’t. Also I know there’s different rules to cornhole, but I did the 21 or bust version for sake of the story.
You were talkin' trash, we were tossin' bags
When I caught your name at a corn hole game
You and your friends had decided to tailgate at the Chicago Bears game. You were in your last semester of college and your group had collectively decided to forego buying tickets. Not wanting nosebleed seats, but knowing your broke college student bank account would not offer many other options. The parking lot was crowded with Bears fans; scattered Minnesota Vikings fans sticking out in the crowd. It was surprisingly warm for a Chicago October. You had just finished a game of flip cup and informed your friends you were going to get food from a nearby food truck, your best friend, Madison tagging along. You hadn’t made it far from your group when you made eye contact with a handsome man. Slowly walking you heard him talking to a man about the same age as him,
“Adam come on!” He exclaimed.
“I am not playing against him, he might as well be a pro.” The brown haired man shook his head.
“Don’t take it out on me cause I’m better than you.” Another good-looking brown-haired man from the group laughed shrugging and throwing an arm around a pretty blonde girl who wasn’t even paying attention to the men, already conversing with a group of girls. The handsome dark skinned man groaned seemingly pouting. Grabbing Madison’s arm you stopped her to pull her over to the group.
“You need a couple players?” You smiled gesturing to the corn hole boards.
“Actually yeah we do.” He nodded.
“Let’s roll.” You challenged taking your place by the board and picking up the orange bean bags. Madison sighed already reading your dirty thoughts about the man as she walked to the board opposite of you and the broad muscled man took his place next to you, gathering the navy blue bags. “Let me just get you a menu cause you’re about to get served.” You joked and luckily he let out an adorable laugh.
“That’s the best you got?” He sported a wide smile causing you to instantly blush.
“Yeah...sorry I’m not the best at trash talking. My game usually speaks for itself.” You shrugged, turning to throw the bean bag on the board Madison stood by. Watching it slide right through the center. Humming he looked at you impressed, gearing up when you threw him a seductive smirk.
“Let the games begin.” He grinned.
The game was close, full of playful banter, and maybe a little flirting from you and the man you now knew was named, Kevin. Luckily you and Madison came out on top thanks to Kevin’s partner’s accidental bust over 21 taking their score back down to 13.
“Ruz, you might want to take up a math class in your spare time.” Kevin teased, knowing he only aimed for the board because of his poor math skills.
“Shut up.” He attempted to throw a bag at him, but it fell short. “I’m never playing this game again.” Adam huffed, walking away.
“Don’t hate the player, hate the game.” You shrugged, winking at him.
Said "Girl, where you sitti'g? I got an extra ticket
It's right on the 50"
“Sorry. He gets a little competitive.” Kevin smiled, “Thanks for playing though.” He leaned against the side of a truck crossing his arms. Madison stood awkwardly a couple feet away as you two flirted with each other.
“Thanks for letting us. It was nice to do something other than a drinking game for once.” You chuckled gesturing to where your group was now playing beer pong.
“Where are you guys sitting?” He asked gesturing to the stadium behind him.
“Oh we actually don’t have tickets. Just here to tailgate.” You explained and his smile got slightly bigger.
“Well I actually have an extra ticket. It’s right on the 50 if you want to join me?” He offered.
“Thanks, but I don’t want to just leave my group hanging..” You contemplated looking back at Madison who was nodding quickly mouthing the word “Go!” Sighing you turned back towards him with a smile, “you know what. What the hell why not?” You pushed the tingling of your body deeper down at his happy grin.
You had a 16 home team jersey on
Singin' every word to the fight song
Had your airplane bottles from your purse out
“Okay. I have to ask. Why are you wearing that jersey?” Kevin asked, sitting down beside you.
“Because we’re at...a Bears game?” You looked at him skeptically, causing him to laugh.
“Obviously.. I mean why O’Donnell? I think this is the first time I’ve ever seen someone actually wearing his jersey.” He explained.
“Well I do like to be an outlier,” you joked, “punters never get the credit they should. Same with kickers. They deserve more love.” You answered.
“Good to know you’re not a bandwagon fan.” He said.
“We won one super bowl 35 years ago and we just benched our newly signed QB for a rookie. I don’t think there’s any wagon for someone to hop on.” You retorted.
“You got me there.” He agreed watching you pull a few tiny bottles of alcohol out of your small bag you had strategically hidden to make it past security.
“You a fan of fireball? I hate it but it came with the pack.” You asked, turning to see an amused grin covering his face. “What?”
“How in the hell did you sneak those in here?” He inquired.
“Can’t give away all my secrets on the first date.” You shrugged, wiggling your eyebrows. He took it from your hand nudging Adam who sat on his other side. Adam took it graciously.
“Hell yeah. We’re keeping her!” He exclaimed, twisting the cap off to take the shot.
The first half of the game was rough. Only lucking out with a safety in the first quarter.
“I hope to god Trubisky starts to prove he has more than just a pretty face.” You shook your head preparing yourself for the second half. You and Kevin had talked throughout all of halftime, and you caught him staring with a wide smile more than once as you might’ve got a little too competitive throughout the first and second quarter.
“I could play better defense than his line is. Kev, get down there you know how to tackle people.”
“He does realize he’s supposed to be throwing it to his own team right?”
“Fucking 2 yards isn’t gonna get you anywhere!” Were just a few things you remember spouting off.
“This is ridiculous.” You threw up your hands when Rudolph took it into the Vikings endzone.
With 5:33 left in the 3rd quarter O’Donnell took the field for the punt, but instead to everyone’s surprise the punt is faked and #16 puts up a pass to Cunningham who runs it in for the touchdown. “Oh my god!” You jumped up and down, “No fucking way! That’s my man!” You yelled pulling Kevin in for a hug who was in utter disbelief.
“I cannot believe that just happened.” He laughed, cheering with the crowd. The fans were hyped watching Barth kick it between the posts.
“Believe it baby!
Bear down, Chicago Bears, make every play clear the way to victory;
Bear down, Chicago Bears, put up a fight with a might so fearlessly.
We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T-formation.
Bear down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you're wearing the crown.
You're the pride and joy of Illinois, Chicago Bears, bear down.” You sang along loudly to the Bears’ fight song roaring throughout Soldier Field. The second half was much more heated than the first, but unfortunately thanks to a successful kick from Forbath in the last few seconds the Vikings took home the win.
You would've thought that post-game
Kiss would've made me wanna make you mine
But you had me by halftime
Everyone was starting to file out of the stadium, Kevin’s group included.
“You comin?” Adam turned to you both.
“You wanna wait till the crowds disperse a little?” Kevin asked and you smiled nodding.
“We’ll be waiting for you.” Adam winked, a knowing smirk covering his face as he grabbed tightly ahold of Kim’s hand to lead her through the crowd.
“You would’ve had to keep a tight hold on me. I’m small and can get lost easily.” You joked, body frame tiny compared to his broad muscular one.
“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure I do regardless.” Kevin flirted, looping an arm around your shoulders to pull you closer to him.
“I told you. Punters and kickers, they don’t get enough credit.” You reiterated, “I mean how often does the game come down to a field goal? Too often in my opinion.”
“I can give you kicker I’m not sure about punters though.” He looked at you amused.
“Did you miss that play?” You scoffed.
“And how often does that happen? I’m sure you didn’t buy his jersey banking on that.” He replied.
“Yeah, alright. I just thought O’Donnell was better looking than Barth.” You admitted.
“You really know your football though.” He observed.
“I grew up with three brothers. It just came with the territory.” You explained.
“Three brothers?” He looked over at you, a faint look of fear appearing on his face.
“Yeah, I’m sure you could take any of them though.” You bit your lip squeezing his bicep to get your point across.
“Is that so?” He grinned face inches away from yours.
“Mhmm.” You hummed searching his eyes, begging him to make the move and he did. Closing the distant for a gentle, smooth kiss. His hand caressing your cheek to pull you closer. This is nowhere near what you expected your day to turn into when you got up this morning. You were just supposed to be tailgating with your friends too drunk for your own good. Instead you were seated inside the stadium making out with a guy you had just met this morning. Not that you were complaining, but what were the chances?
“Was that okay?” He asked lips still slightly brushing against yours and as an answer you gripped his face pulling him in for a deep bruising kiss that had him groaning low in his throat. Pulling away to get a breath you looked around to see very few people still seated, a warmth buzzing throughout your body despite the chilly fall air becoming more prominent.
“We better get out of here before we get in trouble.” You whispered. And he nodded tightly clasping your hand in his as you made your way out of the stadium back out into the parking lot.
Now every time the leaves start fallin' down
I get to thinkin' 'bout
5 years later
“Kev, can you check on the pizza while I get Carsyn dressed?” You asked after seeing your daughter stir from her nap on the monitor. Walking in her room you retrieved her from the crib. She was all smiles and giggles. “Well I take it you had a good nap.” You kissed her chubby cheek, attempting to flatten her bed head before laying her on the floor to get her dressed. “Daddy is just gonna be head over heels when he sees you. Not that he isn’t already.” You smiled trying to slide her tights on despite her wiggling legs. Succeedingly picking her up 10 minutes later. “Look who’s awake daddy.” You caught Kevin’s attention as he turned away from the stove to take her from your arms.
“You didn’t.” Kevin laughed, a smile wide on his face when he took his daughter into his arms admiring the outfit she was sporting. A blue tutu accompanied by an orange jersey that repped the #16, outfit topped off with a Chicago Bears bow. “Well don’t you just look adorable. Yes, you take after your mama.” Kevin laid kisses all over her face erupting numerous giggles from her. “Where’d you even find this at?” He asked and you knew what he was talking about without even turning around as you took the pizza out of the oven.
“I had to specially order it as one of those custom name jerseys. Seems they don’t make O’Donnell’s jersey for babies.” You laughed checking on the wings in the air fryer when a knock at the door interrupted. Adam and Kim strolling their way into the kitchen minutes later.
“Where’s my girl?” Adam asked, spotting her in Kevin’s arms. Carsyn immediately reached out for Adam. “There she is and aren’t you just the cutest Bears fan in the whole world?” He tickled her stomach taking in her outfit, “Gotta say [Y/L/N] it looks better on her.” He joked gesturing to your identical jersey.
“Joke all you want this jersey got me a husband.” You leaned up on your tippy toes to lay a kiss on Kevin’s cheek.
The rest of your crew arrived not too much later. Hailey and Jay bringing along their son who was a few months younger than Carsyn. This was now a football season tradition and you loved every minute of it.
Could I request when Marinette first meets the Batfam (One as Marinette meeting the Wayne's, one as Marinette meeting the Batfam, one as Ladybug meeting the Wayne's, and one as Ladybug meeting the Batfam)
I’m so so sorry it took so long. I loved this so much and grossly underestimated how long it would take me to do this prompt justice. I decided on a whole bunch of short stories that tied together and several days of editing and rewriting left me with this.
I hope you enjoy it! @elements1999
The First Time
The first time Marinette met the Wayne’s was at a charity auction that she dragged Adrien too.
With her first year of earnings beyond her imagination, Marinette wanted to donate some to charity and who better than Bruce Wayne. She read all about his many donations and auctions, how he came to the rescue of orphaned kids and hospitals struggling to stay afloat. She might not know much about charity, but she knew this man would put her money to good use.
It didn’t take long for Adrien to wander off, his hopeless romantic self trailing after every beautiful person he saw. He advised her to find her own beautiful person, after all, this world revolved around connections, and she needed more than just Adrien.
She set her eyes on a prominent looking man around her age. His attention seemed fixed on the older men he was entertaining, their conversation dragging, but the more she watched, the more she could recognize his own boredom. If anything else tonight, at least she could save him from succumbing to social suicide.
“Excuse me sir, but I was wondering if I could steal a moment of your time. I had a question about, uh, the stocks of your business.”
His eyebrow cocked as a playful smirk pulled at his lips. He knew that she had no intention of doing such things with one glance. She was impressed. As he excused himself from his company, the man offered his arm which she readily took.
“Now Miss, what questions could I answer for you?”
“Hmm, well, we could start with how do you put up with such dreadful conversations for hours on end? You looked like you were five seconds away from passing out.”
Tim, she soon learned, was the business partner of Bruce Wayne and his adopted son. He mostly dealt with the partnership side of Wayne Enterprise which meant enduring boring old man for hours on end at these types of events. They continued on with small talk as they walked the ballroom, but eventually, Tim had to excuse himself to yet another group of old men.
Marinette shook her head, slightly amused at the sight of him putting on a game face. Maybe she could ask Tim to help her with the partnership side of MDC. Right now, her current co-owner was off making plans for an after-party, not a sponsor.
“This is outrageous! I have my invite right here, what do you mean not invited? Brucie gave me this,” he shoved the piece of paper into the guard's face, “this morning.”
“Sir, a paper that says, Jason, my favorite son, this is an unlimited pass, does not count as an invite. Sorry.”
“You know, something tells me you’re not really sorry.”
Marinette bit her lip trying to hold back her laughter. For the second time in one night, it looks like she would have to be the knight in shining armor stepping in to save the damsel in distress.
“Jason? I told you not to leave your invite on the counter!”
The man widened his eyes at her as she crossed her arms, a fake disappointment monopolizing her face.
“Excuse me sir, but this is my date. He didn’t arrive home on time for work, so I left his invitation on the counter! I didn’t think he would be dumb enough to forget such a small piece of paper.”
“Oh yes, I’m sorry babe, please forgive me?”
The security guard didn’t look convinced, but he sidestepped allowing Jason to enter. Immediately he threw his arm over her shoulders as he dragged them away from the entrance as quickly as possible.
“First off, thanks for getting me in small fry. Second, who are you? The guards aren’t that stupid, they know we’re not together, but for some reason, it only took one look at you and they let me right in. Are you like sleeping with Bruce or something?”
Marinette’s face paled as she tried to stutter out a denial.
“Oh God,” Jason bursted into laughter, accidentally dragging her down with him as they doubled over. “Oh god, I’m sorry. It was too good, your face was too good.”
Marinette landed a punch in the man’s side with a sickening thud, but he didn’t even flinch. Instead, he had the audacity to ruffle her pristine hair while wiping a tear from the corner of his eye.
“Anyways, fess up, who are you really?”
Her time with Jason was much different from Tim’s. She honestly couldn’t believe that they were raised by the same man. Tim was constantly calculating his every sentence, watching her for signs of a slip-up or lie. He was composed the entire time, careful not to insult her as if she was a potential business partner. Jason? Not so much.
They traded insults and jabs at each other before turning their attention to the room insulting anyone who dared to step into their line of view. Marinette would be lying if she said she wasn’t a bit disappointed when he had to leave to find Bruce.
She spent the next few minutes wandering around the room until another damsel caught her eye. To put things lightly, Marinette was a little confused about who she was saving. The smaller man was maybe a couple inches taller than her and while the taller man was looming over him. However, it was the look in the smaller one’s eyes that screamed danger.
“Hello sir, I seem to have wandered off from my group, would you happen to have the time? I wouldn’t want to be late to the auction.”
Whatever argument the two were engaged in instantly came to a standstill as they seized each other up before turning to face her. The taller one flashed her a blinding smile before introducing himself as Dick.
“My son here is Damian and I’m sure he’d be glad to show a beautiful woman like yourself back to the auction site.” He placed a hand on Damian’s head, giving his hair a ruffle for good measure.
“You are not my father Grayson, unhand me at once.”
Marinette covered her mouth slightly trying to hide her giggles. She knew these two. They were the few exceptions to the press rule, always doing interviews as a brotherly team, maintaining the loving family image.
“What is so funny woman?”
Marinette cleared her throat trying to swallow any remaining laughter.
“Oh nothing, it’s just, you all are so different than I imagined, it’s quite refreshing.”
Damian shot her a quizzical look as if he wasn’t sure whether to be complimented or offended.
“Well, if you like little bird so much, we should definitely get you back to the auction! This year, he graciously volunteered to be the surprise celebrity date.”
“Gracious is not the correct word Grayson. You all blackmailed me.”
“Details, details, so what do you say, Miss?” Dick waved off the accusation before offering his hand to her.
“Marinette and I would be delighted to save him from the woman here.”
They chatted idly as they made their way back, neither oblivious to the slight red tinting Damian’s cheeks. When the time came, Marinette made sure to place the first and last bid for Damian Wayne. And before the end of the night, she had four numbers to match her four new friends.
“Marinetteee, I didn’t find a single soul tonight that was there for a good time. What a bunch of sticks.”
Marinette chuckled as she slid into the limo, patting Adrien’s head with fake sympathy.
“A bunch of sticks indeed.” . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The first time Marinette met the notorious Batman, she had gotten herself in over her head.
She had just wanted to find this new fabric shop that Jason had suggested, who would’ve known that one wrong turn in Gotham and she would end up in Rogue territory.
It had started just a handful of punks, intent on robbing her. Sure they had some knives, but she wasn’t worried at all. She only started freaking out when they seemed to duplicate right before her eyes. At the rate she was going, she was going to be overrun, no question about it.
At least until the man dropped from the sky. Marinette didn’t have time to process what had happened, instead she used the distraction to knock out the nearest goon. Even with the new help, they were still being overwhelmed.
“It’s time to get you out of here Miss, unfortunately, the two of us are not going to be enough for this guy.”
“This guy?”
Surely he wasn’t insinuating these masked men were one guy, right? He didn’t answer her as he pulled her into his side, sending his grapple into the dark sky. The landing was slightly rough as Marinette rolled to a stop, stumbling to her feet to get a good look at the man.
His suit was odd. Everything was fine from the coordinating red and black to the yellow robin perched on his breastplate, but what really did it for her was the spandex black hood covering his hair and eyes seemingly connected to his cape.
“My God, Is that connected to your hood?” Marinette pinched at the material covering half his head, amazed as it snapped back into place immediately. “You know you could really hurt yourself like this?”
She paced around him admiring the handiwork of his suit. If she had to make a guess, this was most likely Red Robin. Her eyes narrowed in around the neck, a small string almost unnoticeable sat at the base.
“Ohh I get it now, you pull this little string right here and it’s like an emergency relief. Okay, I’ll let the weird hood slide.”
He seemed to pay her no mind as he slipped the small device in his hand back into one of his many pockets.
“Ma’am, backup is on the way, I’m going to have to ask you to stay right here until one of us lets you down.”
“Hmm, would this be considered kidnapping?”
Red Robin stumbled over himself trying to explain that it was for her own safety, that Batman would never kidnap her. It took everything in her not to bust out laughing from his distress. She waved off his rambling as he watched him jump back down into the herd of men below.
Now that she was alone, maybe she could transform, help him. She turned from her spot only to come face to face with another superhero.
“Oh no, you can’t skip away, I’m pretty sure Red told you to hold your position.”
“Dude, I just really was trying to get to this 24-hour fabric shop that my friend told me about. I can’t help that danger just seems to follow me.”
The man clicked his tongue before reaching out to ruffle her hair in an annoyingly familiar way.
“Sorry small fry, just you and me until Red down there can relay a plan.”
Small fry? Only one obnoxiously fun person in Gotham City has referred to her like that and the more she stared him down, the more the gears started to turn in her head.
“Do I look good from that angle? Am I mesmerizing to you? Is the moonlight reflecting off my hair blinding you?”
If she had any doubts before, the ridiculous poses from the man in front of her only confirmed what she had thought. Before she could ask, the man quickly placed his finger up to his ear, his face dropping to deadly serious.
“Okay, so princess, I’m going to have to ask you nicely to stay up here. Robin should be here at any moment to make sure of it, but the situation just got a little bit more dire. Nice meeting you though, try not to fall in love with me when I save your life.”
Marinette wouldn't even respond as she leaned over the edge watching the fight ensue down below. Another two heroes had arrived, one in a blue and black suit, the thin mask concealing his eyes. The other?
“Oh mon Dieu, that’s Batman!”
“Are you always this obvious?” A hand barely touched her shoulder and on instinct, Marinette gripped it, pulling the attacker over her back and slamming them into the roof.
“Oh, oh, oh, I’m so sorry Robin. I guess I got a little spooked from the fight down below.”
The man stared at her with an unreadable expression before adjusting his hood, scooting a couple inches back before standing. He kept one hand on a small piece jutting out of his ear that she only assumed was a comm as if waiting for instructions.
“Hey, do you know the identity of the other’s down there?”
“Tt, of course I do, what kind of question is that?”
She shook her head, a small smile pulling at her lips.
“Nothing much, just wondering. You know, Red Robin said something about those goons being one guy, does that mean you guys are looking for one person in particular to stop the clones?”
“How do you know so much about Multiplex?”
“I don’t,” she shrugged her shoulders as nonchalantly as she could. “I’m just trying to get a grasp of my situation. If you were to ask me though, they’re not going to find him in the crowd down there and even if Batman is looking for the direction they could be coming from, he has no vantage point to see.”
Robin paused for a moment as if he was going to regret the next words that came out of his mouth.
“Fine, if I were to ask you, where do you think the main copy is?”
Marinette pointed wordlessly to the building they were standing on. Reaching out, she grabbed Robin’s hand pulling him to where she stood.
“Unhand me wo-” Marinette placed her finger on his lips waiting for him to silence before motioning over the edge to where the alleyway entrance was propped open.
“When I first got here, that’s the direction the first three came from. Now if my theory is correct, this Multiplex guy doesn’t need to be on sight to create copies and once he creates a copy, that copy can multiply no matter how many times it’s beaten down. So him sending only three out, can make six men minimum, right?”
Robin simply nodded, but she could see the wheel’s turning in his head, matching her own.
“You’re saying that if I enter that door down there, he should be somewhere in this warehouse that we’re standing on.”
“I’m saying if we go down there with an inhibitor collar, we can help Batman.”
“Absolutely not Mar-Miss. It’s too dangerous for a civilian. You can stay right here.”
All it took was one reminder that she had flipped him on instinct and he was the trained one for Robin to bring her down with him. In a matter of minutes, Robin had taken down Multiplex, surprised that she was right.
They were in the middle of an argument when the others stepped through the door, all wearing the same shocked expressions.
“Miss, what were you doing here this late at night?”
Marinette paused, the sudden realization that she was indeed standing in front of Batman, arguing with his sidekick that she was more competent than he was, how embarrassing.
“I really was just looking for this 24-hour fabric store that my friend Jason told me about. Do any of you know anything about that? Oh, better yet, can someone take me there? I really have so much work to be done and so little time to do it in.”
The five of them exchanged glances as if they weren’t sure who should go. It was like watching an involuntary ‘nose-goes’ game.
“Robin will take you.”
There was a slight grumble, but even he couldn’t hide the blush peeking out from under his mask. It only took five minutes by grapple and as he sat her down on the pavement, Marinette pecked his cheek.
“I think you might need a new disguise little bird,” she sent him a wink before turning to enter the store, unable to hide her own blush forming.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The first time Ladybug met the Wayne’s, she was in the wrong place at the right time.
She just wanted to drop off a new Lgeimat recipe that she had definitely not been trying to perfect ever since Damian mentioned his middle eastern heritage. So, you could imagine her surprise when she found Poison Ivy standing on the mansion’s doorstep.
Setting the plate on top of the call box, Marinette wasted no time transforming. Slinging her yo-yo, she pulled Ivy off her feet, landing on top of the woman as the door swung open.
“My lord, what do we have here?”
Alfred stepped backward, his eyes scanning over the scene in front of him. Marinette wanted to shove her yo-yo into Ivy’s mouth to end the string of curses falling out. Honestly, it was enough to turn the tips of Marinette’s ears pink.
“Master Bruce, your visitor has arrived and with a friend,” Alfred called behind him, stepping out of the door frame only to allow Bruce to fill it instead.
“Mr. Wayne, I was patrolling and a young woman came running up frightened for your safety. She said she was on her way to surprise you when she caught sight of this rogue on your doorstep.”
Bruce looked slightly amused. Marinette wasn’t sure whether to be relieved or worried at that fact.
“What may I call you Miss?”
“Uh, Ladybug.”
“Miss Ladybug, Dr. Isley here was my guest tonight, not an enemy, but I can understand the confusion. We had a new arboretum to talk about. Would you please release her?”
Marinette was sure her face matched her suit. She quickly withdrew her yo-yo, offering her hand for Ivy to stand. The woman ignored her, still cursing under her breath as Alfred led her inside leaving Bruce to stand with her on the porch.
“I’m so sorry Mr. Wayne. The young woman sounded frantic, I was only trying to help.”
Bruce waved off her apology, even going as far as inviting her inside. She politely declined, trying to escape before she could embarrass herself even further. But it was futile. They finally settled on a picture with his sons who all were apparently big fans from her Paris days.
Marinette tried to feign ignorance to who the boys were, but it was so hard as they fawned over her outfit, asking her a million and one questions about Hawkmoth and Chat Noir. Even Damian seemed impressed by her standing in front of him.
“Oh my, I almost forgot.” Marinette took off in a jog to the front gate. “The young woman asked if I could deliver these to the youngest Wayne and I’m assuming that’s you.” She returned, handing off the plate to Damian whose eyes instantly softened.
“Lgeimat” it was barely a whisper, but Marinette felt her heart flip at how fond his voice sounded over the fritters. “If you see her before I do, please thank her.”
Marinette nodded, too scared of her own voice to answer. Bruce motioned for them to gather together as he pulled out his phone, snapping several photos at once. When she left, Marinette was jealous that she could never ask for a copy. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The first time Ladybug met Batman she had accidentally landed in the middle of their meeting on top of Wayne Tower.
As soon as her feet hit the rooftop, all voices silenced, five sets of eyes landing on her position.
“I’m so sorry, I didn’t realize this rooftop was taken, I’ll be on my way.”
She quickly unwound her yo-yo, ready to take off when a hand grasped her wrist, forcing her to stand down.
“Please, Ladybug, we actually have a few questions for you.”
It was Dick, no, Nightwing. She was sure without even having to look him in the eyes. No one else ever used such a soft gentle tone with her. Securing her yo-yo back in its rightful place, she nodded, walking over to where the rest of the group stood.
“Nice to finally meet you Ladybug, how long have you been in my city?”
The only thing holding her back from her theory that the Wayne brothers were the bat boys was the idea that this crude man in front of her was really Bruce Wayne. She had heard of split personality, but he took it to a whole new level.
“Quite a few months now. I try not to go out much considering this is your city to protect, but I had to out myself the other day to save a civilian. Turns out he didn’t need my help, but I figured it was in the open now that Paris’ hero was in Gotham City. Surprise?”
Red Hood looked like it was paining him to try and not laugh as she and Batman continued their staredown.
“When will you be leaving?”
“I’m not sure, I’ve started to grow fond of some people here, makes me want to settle down.”
She heard the hitch in Robin’s breath making her smirk stretch even further at the idea that he liked the thought.
“Would you be willing to reveal your identity to me? I don’t like unknowns in my city.”
“Only if you reveal yours first.”
She crossed her arms in mock defiance as Batman’s lips pulled into their own smirk.
“You’re Marinette Dupain-Cheng.”
“You’re Bruce Wayne.”
There was a moment of silence where neither party said a word. The others seemed to be glued, unsure who was going to move first. With a great sigh, Bruce reached up, pulling back his mask to reveal his face. Marinette smiled as she called off Tikki, revealing herself in the middle of the rooftop.
“I knew it. See, pay up Timmy boy.” Jason threw off his mask before lifting Marinette in the air in a bone-crushing hug.
“I was dumb to bet against it,” Tim pulled off his hood, a smirk monopolizing his face.
Dick didn’t even bother to let her regain her footing before sweeping her into a hug of his own. As he sat Marinette down, she couldn't help the nervous chuckle that escaped her lips as she turned to face Damian. His face was unreadable as he pulled back his hood. Slowly he reached forward, his hand tentatively touching her cheek as if to ensure that she was real.
“I, uh, wanted to thank you for the dessert. Nobody has really gone that far for me before and I, uh, appreciated it.”
He took a step forward, his whole hand cupping her cheek sending the butterflies in her stomach into a frenzy. Just as she thought something could happen, an arm around her shoulder pulled her swiftly out of Damian’s reach.
“Okay lovebirds, not in front of his dad! Princess, you can’t steal this boy’s first kiss in front of his daddy.”
The first time Marinette cried in Gotham City was that night. Her laughter turned into tears of joy as she watched Damian and Jason nearly kill each other while Dick and Tim placed bets. It would be the first time she felt this kind of joy, but far from the last.
After all, surrounded by Gotham’s biggest idiots, her friends, there were sure to be many more firsts.
drunk dialing | writer wednesday
Pairing: Angel Reyes x Black!OFC
Summary: Angel's ex-girlfriend gives him a call one night when she has too much to drink.
Tags: Angst, Toxic!Angel, Unresolved Feelings, Alcohol Consumption.
Word Count: 1.5k
1:16.
“She doesn’t need anymore.”
The words barely register over the hustle and bustle of the packed sports bar. Basketball reruns play on the television, old school r&b blaring over the loudspeakers. The bartender takes one look at Summer and the way her frame is slumped over just slightly, the way her dark brown eyes have glazed over, and nods his agreement. From their places on barstools, her friends thank him, not-so-subtly sneaking glances at Summer from the corners of their eyes. She can’t bring herself to care. They don’t understand. She’s drowning in the liquor but also an ocean of misery. The waves steadily pull her down further at each turn.
No one understands, so she takes special care to savor the dark amber liquid as it burns her from the inside out.
2:29.
Last call in the state of California is 1:30 am for any establishment that sells alcohol. Businesses like the bar that so graciously hosts Summer and her friends can stay open later, and they usually do. Most patrons abide by state law, using the time to sober up by stuffing themselves with greasy foods-- pizza, fries, chicken wings. Instead of drinking, they make plans to come back and meet up with the strangers they have become fast friends with or say goodbye to their college buddies in town for the weekend.
If You Think You’re Lonely Now plays as patrons began to shuffle out. Summer hums along.
If you think you’re lonely now, huh
Wait until tonight, girl (If you think you’re lonely now)
I’ll be long gone (You just wait until tonight girl)
And you’ll never find another man that’ll treat ya’ right
And then there are the lonely.
The ones at the bar every evening without fail, using it as home in place of the one they lack. They slide the servers bribes, crisp and crumpled twenty dollar bills across the bar top. She watches with tired eyes as they slide shot glasses back in exchange. Summer thinks she would try her luck if it weren’t for the mother hens watching over her with careful eyes. Her friends-- Aliyah, Jasmine, and Nia already think she’s a ticking time bomb. The last thing she needs to do is give them the ammunition they need to call her an alcoholic.
3:34.
It takes a while for the bar to clear out. Nia has to use the bathroom at the last minute, complaining about it being filthy when she returns. Jasmine mutters an obviously while Summer pitifully sips the last remnants of her drink. The melted ice cubes ruin it, she can’t taste the bourbon at all, but every little drop counts, right?
Summer refuses the hand offered to her by Aliyah as they stumble out into the parking lot. Aliyah hovers with her arms poised to catch her just in case. Nia absentmindedly plays a card game on her phone behind them, and Jasmine heads up the group, her keys noisily jingling as she swings them back and forth. She’s the designated driver and the only one sober enough to drive.
It’s a typical summer night in California, dry but cold and windy, so they quicken their pace. With every step, Bobby Womack’s crooning is stuck on replay in Summer’s mind. The lyrics resonate with her…
When it’s cold outside who are you holding?
...and she’s about to voice her thoughts when she sees it.
“Is that a phone booth?!” The words come out more hysterical than probably they should. Sure, it’s been like ten years since she’s seen one in person, and she didn’t know they still existed, so she’s a little excited and a lot drunk, but it’s just a phone booth. One that’s narrow and brightly lit in the midnight blue of the night. Aliyah, who forgot her glasses at home, squints at the white blob until she can make out its shape.
“I think it is.” She sounds a little mystified herself, and that’s all the encouragement Summer needs in her state. One minute she’s cheesing wide, and the next, she’s sprinting across the street towards the phone booth, giggling and tugging her short dress down the whole way.
The girls yell after her, but she tunes them out, snatching the ice cold phone off the hook. She’s even more enamored when she pulls the heavy metal to her ear and hears the dial tone.
It works!
High heels click loudly behind her. Summer turns just in time to see the girls come to a stop behind her, out of breath and unamused. Jasmine leans over and rests her forearms on her knees. “What the hell?” She hisses, glaring daggers at her friend. Summer ignores her, punching the chunky silver buttons like she’s in a trance. Even inebriated, she knows them by heart. One number after the other, she dials the one person she knows she shouldn’t.
Angel Reyes.
She vaguely registers her friends telling her to put the phone down. She knows that she’s making a mistake, but the armor she wears to protect herself from the world is too heavy. She strips it away, her inhibitions lowered. All she wants is him.
Ring...
“She’s been drinking. We should do something.” Sweet Aliyah is always the voice of reason. Nia sounds bored and over the situation. “This is so dumb.” Jasmine tugs on her arm. “Come on. You’re drunk.”
Ring…
“There’s no harm in a phone call, right?” Aliyah says, but her voice is shaky. She’s wrong, and they all know it.
Ri--
“Hello?” The reception is shitty, and the volume in the earpiece low, but with one word, Summer’s hooked all over again. She doesn’t say anything for several moments, the sound of her harsh breathing the only thing that transmits. There’s a long, tense moment where Summer tries to convince herself to hang up, but then Angel says, “Baby, is this you?” She hates the sob she releases into the phone from the simple words. She draws her bottom lip into her mouth to quiet the sound. Her girlfriends freeze, unsure of what to do.
“Y-yeah, it’s me.”
“You been drinking, mami?”
“Maybe.” Summer sways, and Aliyah is there, using her arm to prop her best friend up. It’s a silent act of support, a reminder that Angel isn’t and shouldn’t be the center of her universe. She has supportive friends, a loving family. She doesn’t need him.
“Where you at? I’ll come get you.” She doesn’t need him, but she’s tempted to tell him to meet her back at Jasmine’s place. It’s only a ten-minute ride from his place, five minutes if he speeds the way she knows he does.
Speeds the way he did when she caught him at Vicki’s with Adelita. He had been acting shady for months, whispering on the phone, keeping odd hours. She had felt like a crazy woman when she put the tracker on his bike, but her intuition was validated when she saw his location. She followed him, expecting to find him with one of Vicki’s girls. Instead, she found him there with Adelita and her protruding belly, rubbing it with his large, ringed hands like a doting father. Like they were some happy fucking family.
Summer had nearly lost her mind, knocking over furniture, breaking bottles from behind the bar. Luckily for them, EZ caught her wrist and restrained her. The sight of Angel shielding that woman, protecting her when he hadn’t protected her feelings, was ingrained in her mind. Realizing that all the men she regarded highly and looked up to as older brothers and uncles had been lying, and helping Angel hide his cheating, was something she would never forget.
Being betrayed like that should have been enough to make her stop loving him, but... it just wasn’t. Summer often found herself wondering what was wrong with her. Why did she pine after a man that hurt her so badly? Sure, Angel’s handsome, and funny, and sweet, and really, really good in bed, but he’s not good. Not for Summer.
She sniffles into the phone, “I don’t want you to. I don’t want you.” She tries to will the words to be true, but the tears gliding down her face tell a different story.
“Why call me then?”
“Too much liquor.”
He snorts out a laugh but then pauses as if considering something. “Yeah, me too.” Summer swears she can make out the sound of Gilly shouting something in the background, but maybe she’s so drunk that she’s imagining things. Maybe she’s making it all up in her head because she longs for their relationship back. She always finds herself back at square one when it comes to Angel, wishing things could go back to how they were, that she could erase all the bad and keep all the good.
You see the night's the time when the needs come out
When your needs come out to breathe
And the jonesing starts and there ain't no way you can sleep, ooh
“You hurt me.” Summer doesn’t bother to hide her bitterness. She knows Angel won’t acknowledge the words because the only pain he can recognize is his own.
“Summer, why are you calling?” His voice has an edge to it this time. He’s daring her to make a decision, pick a side. Either she wants to be with him, or she doesn’t. His gruff tone, the callousness with which he says the words should make her want to turn away from him.
Instead, it makes her heart lurch.
She feels desperate to hold onto him, so she says, “'Cause I-I...I love you.”
Heat Waves Been Fakin’ Me Out-
(Can’t make you happier now). ━━━━━━━━━━━━ Word Count: 1679 TW: Anxiety Attack Author's Notes: This was inspired by that trend on TikTok when people reminisce to the chorus of Heat Waves by Glass Animals, and I realized that wow, this trend really fits Kisuke and the massive guilt he has. Let's exploit that. ━━━━━━━━━━━━ The sweltering summer heat settled across the city of Karakura, making it’s citizens suffer from the moment they opened their doors to leave their houses to the moment they reached their (hopefully air conditioned) location. Children played in the splash pads or in public swimming pools, dipping their feet in the rivers and streams, or crunched happily on flavored shaved ice. Anything to beat the heat, realistically.
Sweat slowly trailed down between tense shoulder blades as Kisuke listened to Rojuro sing along to the radio. The shop did have central air, thankfully, but even that didn’t seem to give a blessed respite from the heat that rolled in through the door every time it opened. He never had been good at handling the heat; had always suffered in the summers of Soul Society when he’d been young. Yoruichi used to tease him about it, despite being just as miserable at the time.
Thankfully, as the sun began to dip below the horizon, the heat began to lift and a sweet summer breeze danced through the air. It was then that they were able to function as Tessai and Kensei worked on dinner. It was weekly, this little get-together, planned carefully to avoid detection or an accidental brush with someone from Soul Society- or someone with stolen powers and a horrible case of hero syndrome.
“Ne, Shin- hand me that cup, would you?” HIyori asked, not bothering to sit up from her sprawled position on the tatami. Kisuke couldn’t blame her- she suffered almost as badly as he did.
“Get it yerself,” Shinji stated even as he reached over, taking hold of the cup before handing it off to the other. She hummed her thanks and placed the bottom of the cup on her forehead, sighing at the feeling of the cool perspiration settling on her skin. Lisa let out a snort at the sight as she reached into her own cup, plucking out an ice chip to pop into her mouth. A moment later, she crunched down on it.
“That means you have an iron deficiency,” Hachi commented as he fanned himself, eyes closed. “Perhaps you should purchase some supplemental tablets.”
“Maybe,” Lisa murmured, gaze not lifting from the book she was engrossed in. “Or maybe I just like the way it feels when I bite down.”
“You always did like biting,” Rose mused with a smile as he brought in a fresh tray of drinks. “I remember watching you fight- you almost took a chunk out of Kyoraku-taichou.”
“I wonder if he scarred?” Mashiro questioned, her gaze darting about the room.
“Probably,” Kisuke hummed, grimacing at the way his haori clung to his skin. Gross. Even so, his mind began to drift. This was nice- seeing them all together, no one really arguing- hearing the laughter drift from the kitchen as Tessai tried to do an onion volcano, only for it to fail in a tiny puff of smoke. Love had settled in a chair, his feet propped up on Hachi’s leg, while Lisa leaned against the leg of the table. Hiyori lay away from them, trying to stay as still as possible to avoid any unnecessary movement. Mashiro wasn’t bothered- but she never had been bothered by the heat, especially not now. Yoruichi laid on the front porch, for once not in her feline form, enjoying the cool northern breeze.
Shinji was watching him, Kisuke noted belatedly- his brow raised, a question posed within his gaze but not spoken aloud. He waved him off idly, a lazy smile curling his lips but coming nowhere near his eyes. His head dipped, the brim of his hat settling low over his eyes.
This was how it used to be. Kensei and Tessai would work together in the kitchen with Mashiro “helping”- more often than not, they’d all gather in the Twelfth. It had the most room back then. Shinji would sit with him and Yoruichi, sharing in any news he’d heard recently; Lisa would arrive later, having been with her Captain, even if she denied it. Hachi would bring sweets that he graciously picked up from the Western Rukongai, and Hiyori would bring drinks-
Along with Aizen.
The mere thought was enough to cause a weight to settle in Kisuke’s stomach like a stone tossed into a shallow pond suddenly. The waves rippled throughout, sending out spikes of anxiety and guilt that settled in the palms of his hands and the back of his mind. His heart skipped a beat.
Silently, he rose to his feet and slipped away into the depths of the Shoten. The weight was back, settling across his shoulders, draping itself across him as if it were a thick blanket, suffocating him. His breath began to come quicker, his heart beginning to race in his chest, causing his palms to sweat. He almost stumbled when grabbing the handle for his bedroom, all but shoving himself inside before carefully, quietly, closing the door.
Breathe.
This was familiar, the anxiety. It happened more often than he’d like to admit. But by the Soul King, he couldn’t breathe. It felt like hands had wrapped around his throat and were squeezing, cutting off his air supply. His eyes closed, and all he could see was chestnut brown hair, a smile that was nothing more than a facade, and dark brown eyes. A gasp escaped him as he opened his eyes-
And found himself alone.
Alone.
Outside, they all sat. His friends. But this wasn’t where they belonged. They belonged back home, back in Soul Society, but that could never happen. Not with how they would be killed on sight if ever seen. How he himself had a kill order placed upon his head for a crime he didn’t commit.
But it was his fault, wasn’t it? All of this was his fault. His fault for bringing up the question of what would happen if a Shinigami became a Hollow. His fault for beginning research- he wanted to know what Hollows were like. He didn’t want to experiment. But he’d planted the seed, and unintentionally, watered it, causing it to grow into the beautiful flower it had become.
It was his fault Aizen started his experiments, he was certain of it. How else could it be explained? Why else would Aizen target Shinji? Target any of them? It was his fault, and then he’d been too fucking late to save them.
He should have been the one. He should have been the one who became Aizen’s experiment. It was his fault. His fault they had all essentially been killed, his fault they all now suffered with the Hollows that took up residence within their minds and bodies, his fault that they were no longer seen as Shinigami. His fault.
His fault.
All his fault.
His breaths came in choked sobs as he sank to his knees, reaching up to clutch at his chest. Calm down, Kisuke, calm down. Your reiatsu will spike if you don’t- the voice was soft, a croon in his ear. Benihime, his benevolent princess.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
He swallowed roughly as he forced himself to calm down. He couldn’t afford to break- no, he needed to stay strong. He had to stay strong, stay sharp, stay ahead of the game. If he slips up, they could all die. He can’t do that. He already fucked their lives up once. He can’t let that happen again. Not again.
They can never return to what they once were- and it was his fault for that.
“Kisuke?” Shinji called softly, knuckles rapping on the wood of the shoji. “You okay?”
“Fine,” Kisuke croaked, grimacing at himself for how awful he sounded. “Just got- choked. ‘M fine!”
A sigh settled in the air as Shinji opened the door, stepped in, and closed it. “You’ve always been a shitty liar,” he murmured as he came over, settling down beside Kisuke. “What’s gotten into you, huh?” Voice soft as he questioned the other. Carefully, he reached up, brushing the remnants of tears away from flushed cheeks. “You look so broken when you cry.”
“Just the… Damn heat wave,” the excuse was weak. “I’m fine.”
Shinji didn’t respond; instead, he reached over to tug the other blond close, arms wrapping around him. “Damn cry baby,” he muttered as Kisuke laughed in a broken sort of way- almost bordering on a sob as he settled into his arms.
“Just the heat.”
“Sure it is.”
Kisuke fell silent, listening to the slow beat of Shinji’s heart. Alive, somewhat. He still wasn’t completely sure how it worked, the hollowfication. The impact it had on the body. Rose’s heart barely beat, while Mashiro’s sounded like a hummingbird’s. Strange.
“I miss it, too,” Shinji admitted after a moment. “We all do.”
“I know.”
“It’s not yer fault.”
“Right.” Liar, his mind whispered. He pulled away carefully, wiping at his face. A shower would be nice, but dinner came first. “Let's go eat,” he rose to his feet, holding a hand out for Shinji, who took it and let Kisuke pull him up.
“Kisuke?” Shinji called as the former captain made his way to the door. Kisuke paused, head tilting, yet he didn’t face him. “Y’know we love you, right?”
“I know,” you shouldn’t love a monster. “C’mon, my stomach’s growling and I don’t wanna miss out on Kensei’s coconut shrimp.”
A laugh escaped Shinji as he brushed past him, walking ahead of Kisuke, who hesitated for a moment, his head tilting back to study the bedroom. It felt as if something had shifted in that moment.
As if someone had done something.
Thunder rumbled overhead, a summer storm rolling in suddenly.
Strange.
“Kisuke! Get yer ass in here!” Hiyori yelled, startling him from his thoughts. A laugh tittered free as he finally joined his group once more. Even so, something scratched at the back of his mind.
Someone had just arrived in the World of the Living from Soul Society.
“Let’s eat!”
Here we go again.
October 31st (Ethan x f!MC)
Pairing: Dr. Ethan Ramsey x F!MC (Dr. Lilac Allende) Word count: 2.3K Warning: Language Premise: Ethan Ramsey doesn’t do costumes... except maybe for her.
A/N: A pointless Halloween fic
A/N2: For Day 28 of @choicesoctoberchallenge2020. The prompt is “Costume”.
1. Intern Year
Ethan resisted a groan as an atrocious, remixed version of The Monster Mash blared through the speakers, eliciting a cheer from the drunken crowd. Characteristically, he pinched the bridge of his nose, eyes shut as he wondered why he decided to venture out on the worst night of the year. Perhaps he needed a drink that badly after another full day of dealing with interns.
“Time for a refill, Dr. Ramsey,” a voice said over the music.
Ethan hated the way his pulse quickened at the sound.
Doing his best to appear collected, he shot what he hoped was an impassive glance at the figure now standing beside him at the bar, the floral notes of her perfume already caressing his every sense. One single glance at her, however, was enough to shoot all efforts of appearing aloof straight to hell.
She leaned casually against the bar, clad in a sensuous, forest green number that molded to every curve of her body and ensnared every bit of his attention. Dark green leaves embellished every surface of the sinfully short dress, tapering off into delicate, curly vines along her exposed shoulders and arms. Her glossy, dark hair was hidden away beneath a cascade of long, auburn waves that made her eyes appear greener still.
“Wig,” she explained with a small laugh when Ethan continued to stare.
At last, he pried his eyes away, feeling his neck flare with heat. Unsure of what else to say, he feigned indifference as he asked, “And what are you supposed to be, Rookie?”
Aside from fucking irresistible, his idiotic, addled brain added on impulse.
He could see Lilac's jaw go slack in a way that was almost comical but somehow managed to be entirely too adorable.
“You're kidding, right? I'm Poison Ivy.”
Ethan had known that. He had been, after all, a comic-book obsessed teenager once. If someone had told him back then that he would one day witness the sexiest version of the character imaginable, his head would have caved in on itself. Adult Ethan, it seemed, was no better because his eyes fell on her once again, unable to resist her magnetic pull.
Lilac, however, was too busy looking at the dancefloor. She nodded toward her group of friends, dancing, laughing, and contributing to half of the noise in the bar.
“We were all supposed to be Batman villains but Bryce and Landry got lazy. They put on a Thing One and Thing Two shirt and called it a day.”
Ethan followed her gaze to where the young surgeon had peeled off the aforementioned shirt, relishing in the attention that decision was earning him from a gaggle of girls nearby. The other one Lilac had mentioned stood awkwardly off to the side, too pale and and gangly to ever be Lahela's counterpart.
“More like tweedle dee and tweedle dum,” he muttered.
Lilac met his eyes at once and to his delight, she laughed, the sound sending his stomach into a dive. It was already maddening enough that the sound was entirely too attractive, but Ethan felt a swelling sense of satisfaction at being the one to inspire it.
When she sobered up, her green eyes remained on his, humor melting into a pensive expression. She continued to watch him with the conviction of someone discovering a new secret. He would have given anything to know what she was thinking at that very moment.
“What about you?”
“Hmm?”
He had been distracted by her full lips and by how fitting the damn costume was. Much like every weak-willed man in his comic books, Ethan would have risked absolutely everything to kiss her.
“No costume?”
“God no,” he spat, inspiring another little laugh.
“Never say never,” she told him in a sing-song voice.
“I can confidently say never.”
______________
2. A year later.
They paused outside the door to Bryce's apartment, the muffled sound of music and laughter making its way to the hall. Ethan briefly wondered if his neighbors would complain enough to derail the whole affair. It would mean he could go back to the peace and quiet of his home.
As if reading his mind, Lilac turned to face him, a knowing smile pulling at her lips. God, he loved it when she looked at him that way.
“You're not getting out of this,” she reminded him, her fingers moving to play with the orange Ascot tie she had forced him to wear.
“We're well into November. There was no need to dress up.”
As usual, Lilac rolled her eyes lovingly.
“It's hardly dressing up when all we did was put you in a white sweater you already owned, babe,” she explained for the hundredth time. Ethan tried to scowl at the pet name, but he was beginning to enjoy it. Instead, he relaxed into her touch, trying his best not to follow the lazy path her fingers made on his chest. “You wouldn't even wear a wig, so it doesn't count. As for the party being this late, it was the only night we all had off. And we'll be damned before we let a whole year pass us by without dressing up.”
She finalized that sentence with a searing kiss to his neck. His hands banded around her waist reflexively, pulling her soft body flush against his. In their time together, he had avidly learned the many ways to drive her just as crazy.
“You and I can still dress up,” he murmured darkly against her ear.
Lilac shivered, to his immense delight.
“Are you suggesting role play, Dr. Ramsey,” she returned in a poor attempt to mock him.
The formal mode of address, uttered in a low, breathy voice against his ear, made his blood buzz for her. More maddening still was the short, purple dress she wore along with the auburn wig that made a reappearance after a year.
“Got a thing for redheads?” she asked, correctly guessing the contents of his thoughts yet again.
Ethan smiled crookedly down at her. “I got a thing for you.”
The words rang with sincerity and an overwhelming sense of relief at finally being able to say them out loud, without any fear of consequences.
Lilac, for her part, looked as though she wanted to shove him against the wall and kiss him fiercely, but the erupting cheers from inside the apartment interrupted their exchange from advancing further.
“Mystery Gang in the house!” Bryce, dressed as a pirate, hollered as soon as they walked through the door. Everyone else cheered and hooted, the sounds no doubt fueled by the contents of the many red solo cups around the room.
“You guys look adorable!” Sienna commended over the music, greeting each of them with a friendly hug. “Fred and Daphne makes so much sense for you two.”
“Because we solve mysteries for a living?” Ethan asked, voice deadpan.
“Nah, because those two were a thing long before any of the others found out,” Elijah said as he joined them.
Lilac laughed out loud, the sound teetering on the edges of relief. She had been nervous, just like Ethan had been, that her friends would be awkward around them now that they knew of their relationship.
By the way they easily joked with him and included him in conversation throughout the night, their concerns had been for nothing. They even helped Lilac pressure him into dancing a modern pop song he had heard many times on the radio. Not that he needed much convincing when he would gladly do anything just to see her radiant smile directed his way.
By midnight, the party had dwindled down to drinks and board games. There was a raucous consensus to play Clue, which caused Bryce to roll his eyes.
“Of course the diagnosticians want to play the nerdiest game.”
Ethan rolled up his sleeves in preparation, which earned him a coy and borderline lustful look from Lilac. “You're just bitter that we're playing something other than beer pong, scalpel jockey.”
Elijah let out a surprised yet impressed laugh, wasting no time to high five Ethan. Even Bryce couldn't help but grin.
“Trash talk all you want, old man. I'm more than just a pretty face.”
When it came to Clue, however, Bryce had no chance against Ethan, who analyzed every player with sharp precision and correctly guessed the murderer, the room, and the weapon. Several games later, Ethan easily proved victorious while Bryce only laughed graciously, raising his palms up in defeat.
When even the board games ebbed into quiet conversation at the end of the night, Lilac sat on his lap, circling her arms around his neck. They sat like that for minutes, enjoying the nuances of being that annoyingly cute couple at a party.
“Thank you for dressing up for me,” she said as she pressed a chaste kiss on his cheek.
Even that sent his heart into a tumultuous rhythm.
“Only for you,” he murmured. “And as a one time deal only.”
______________
3. Many years later.
Ethan plastered the fur-lined hat on his head, a perfect complement to the fur-lined everything else he was currently wearing. Luckily, fall time in Boston was cold enough that the ensemble would prove to be practical as they walked the streets. He stepped into the hallway, not bothering to check his reflection. There was no doubt he looked utterly ridiculous.
But he didn't care.
He would do anything for her and for the unbridled joy in the eyes he loved so much.
Lilac was already waiting when he entered the living room, her smile impossibly wide as she glanced him over. It was the exact reaction he expected and he couldn't help but grin too.
“Is this how it's supposed to look?”
“Yes!” she all but shrieked in delight. The magenta cape of her costume fluttered behind her as she rushed to him, her body crashing against him in an overjoyed hug. “I love you so much for doing this.”
The words still sent a thrill through Ethan, as strong as the first time he heard them. Heart thundering wildly at his chest, he leaned down to kiss her, just because he could.
When they pulled apart, she watched him through half-closed eyes, her teeth catching her lush bottom lip. All Ethan wanted to do was carry her to their bed and tear off the costumes they had spent so much time perfecting. Inwardly, he marveled at how everything had changed over the years, but there were some things that remained the same.
Instead, he captured one of her plaits between his fingers. “These people we're dressed up as,” he started, gently trailing the ridges of her braid. Lilac watched him, captivated by his every word. “Do they end up together?”
She allowed a laugh. “We've watched nothing but that movie for a week straight.”
Ethan shrugged, allowing a sheepish grin. “I tune it out thirty minutes in every time.”
More laughter and Ethan decided then that he could hear the sound forever and not get enough.
“Don't let Dolores hear you say that,” she warned with one final kiss. She moved to break apart from their embrace but he stopped her.
His wife looked at him expectantly and Ethan frowned, suddenly doubtful.
“Do you think she'll like it?”
Lilac's curious expression melted into a fond smile. “She's going to love it,” she assured him, leaning in to press a sweet kiss on the tip of his nose.
Not surprisingly, Lilac had been right because moments later, a delighted shriek of laughter announced the arrival of their toddler daughter. Her godmother trailed close behind, crouching over in an attempt to fix the blue tulle that trailed along the floor as the child ran towards her father. It was futile and Sienna sighed in defeat, shooting Lilac an amused look.
“It's pointless,” Sienna laughed. “There's no stopping little Lolly when she sees her father.”
Proving that point, his daughter flung herself into Ethan's arms and cried, “Dada!”
“Hello, princess,” Ethan laughed as she pressed her version of a kiss on his cheek.
“I'm Elsa,” Dolores corrected sagely.
“Yes, babe,” Lilac added with mock seriousness. “You are in the presence of Queen Elsa of Arendelle. Have some respect.”
“My apologies, Your Majesty,” Ethan said to his daughter with such formality that the child laughed. Sienna watched the exchange with a watery smile, failing to repress a squeal.
A loud roar coming from the threshold informed them that their son had joined them. Sienna laughed as Jonah ran around the room, the antlers of his costume bobbing wildly as he moved. At last, he stopped right before Lilac, who picked him up in her arms.
“I didn't know reindeers roared,” she laughed, swaying her son in her arms.
Jonah roared again to demonstrate that reindeers could indeed roar formidably, at least when impersonated by a five year old. “I'm a Halloween reindeer,” he explained. “He roars to be spooky, but just for today.”
The adults laughed. “You're a good big brother, Jonah,” Lilac informed him with a kiss, closely followed by a tickle.
“Lolly wanted to be Elsa so bad so I wanted to help,” their son said through a giggle, as though it was the most obvious explanation in the world.
It was for Ethan.
As Sienna ushered them together for a picture, Ethan looked at his family, everyone smiling radiantly and far more beautifully than the moon itself. Little Dolores clung to him, laughing and looking happier than he had ever seen her.
His wife caught his eye and shot him a knowing but proud smile. Ethan knew she was remembering the cynical, jaded version of himself who had confidently proclaimed he would never do this.
Ethan had never been happier to be proven wrong.
______________
A/N: I HC they name their daughter after Dolores and nickname her Lola/ Lolly
Once upon a time I used to write for another pairing who canonically dies on Halloween. You have no idea how happy I am to write for a pairing who’s alive and well lol.
Thank you so much for reading! I love these time hop fics so much. I wrote another one for Ethan x MC a long time ago that I will publish on my birthday in November :)
Finally, Chapter 10 of the Pictagram is coming soon. It might be two parts... Yikes. Thanks for waiting so patiently for it! Life has been crazy over here
Sway with me. [part 1]
As Rosa entered the ballroom, she expected her and Artem to have a great time; why would she be jealous this fast? [pairing: Artem + MC]
also psst psst a hint of sub artem + angst
When marimba rhythms start to play,
Dance with me, make me sway.
Rosa entered the ballroom, her gown swaying slowly. Hidden identities behind masquerade masks, yet she could easily recognize the people in the ball.
A man was taking photos; he wore a suit, and his hair is tinted a golden orange. "Luke, obviously," she whispered, sighing. "He still took his photography camera with him..."
Another man sipped from a glass of wine; his white, silky hair was rather messy. Rosa noticed the pair of glasses in his suit pocket. "You can't wear your glasses over your masquerade mask, obviously, Vyn." The image of Vyn wearing his glasses over a masquerade mask made her giggle softly.
Another man wearing a suit seemed to be teasing a group of people. His voice was rather loud, and he kept laughing loudly. "Marius, same as always.." she rolled her eyes, heading to the food bar.
She picked up a small plate filled with cheese of different types, paired with biscuits and chocolate. Rosa wasn't the type to crave expensive food, but this time, it was an exception.
"Madame." A deep voice spoke behind her, his warm breath against her skin. In surprise, she gasped, her eyes widening.
Like a lazy ocean hugs the shore,
Hold me close, sway me more.
"Artem!" Rosa said, her voice hinting that she is reprimanding him. "You just like surprising people, don't you." She knew how much Artem loved suddenly appearing behind her, making her jump, and sometimes even drop files she carried, or books she was reading.
"Rosa, you should.. wear this." Artem handed her a soft silk masquerade mask, a red feather sticking out of the left side. "It's a masquerade, afterall."
Artem wore an expensive retailed suit; He also wore a black masquerade mask, complimenting his dark suit. His tie clip looks polished and even more expensive. Artem adjusted his tie, looking away from her. "What? Is there something on my face?"
"Yes.." Rosa replied, getting closer to Artem's cheek.
Like a flower bending in the breeze,
Bend with me, sway with ease.
Now, Artem expected a kiss from the woman. He closed his eyes, smiling. As Rosa noticed such, she smirked. "Yes, there is something on your face." She pretended to wipe something off his face.
"Oh, ah—" Artem stuttered, a tint of pink on his cheeks; he seemed quite embarrassed. "Why, what were you expecting me to do?" Rosa spoke up, raising an eyebrow.
When we dance, you have a way with me,
Stay with me, sway with me.
"N-Nothing. Anyways," He sighed, fixing his tie. "I'd like to invite you to the wine section of this ball." Confused, Rosa looked at Artem. "But your alcohol toleration—?"
"No need to worry about that. Besides, a client is looking for us," Artem looked at his watch, holding out a hand for her.
"Shall we go, m'lady?"
MC graciously accepts his hand, allowing him to lead her to the other side of the ballroom.
"Let me introduce you to our client," Artem starts, stopping infront of a woman. She seemed young, an age or two younger than the attorney; she wore a dress that exaggerates her neck and shoulders, paired with high heels. "This is Selena, a representative from the Pax group." Rosa smiled at her, taking a wine glass from the table. "I am MC, a lawyer from the Themis Law Firm," she introduced herself, pouring a serving of wine for herself and Artem.
Other dancers may be on the floor,
Dear, but my eyes will see only you.
"I know you; you defended Marius Von Hagen on court, yes?" Selena asks, looking at Rosa, then at Artem; his attention was on the younger attorney. "..my alcohol tolerance is low," he whispered, fixing his tie. "I don-"
"MC!" Luke came running to the small group, giggling to himself. "They have a toast section! There are so many spreads and-"
"If you want to," Selena immediately said, clearing her throat; Luke and Rosa's attention diverted to the woman. "you two can go to the bread section, I have something to discuss with Artem."
"Oh?" Artem looked back at Selena, putting down the glass of wine Rosa gave him. "If so, my partner here needs to listen as well," he continued in a low, serious voice.
Selena could only sigh, crossing her arms. "It's a personal matter, Artem. Besides—"
"'Mr. Wing' would be a more appropriate way to address me," Artem cut her off, noticing something suspicious. "You're.. not even an acquaintance, Selena. If anything, you are our client." Artem forced himself to be cold, shocking both Luke and Rosa.
Only you have that magic technique;
When we sway, I go weak!
"..If you can excuse us, um-" Luke looked back at his friend, clearing his throat. "We're going to the bread section. Right, MC?" He smiled awkwardly, avoiding Artem's gaze.
The younger lawyer could only nod, looking back at Artem. "We- we have to go. Bye!" Rosa walked away fast, following Luke. "It.. seems like Artem and his client will argue, that's why I wanted to bring you away from the chaos," he whispered, heading to another section of the ballroom.
"Let's stay here for now," Luke said, fixing her masquerade mask. "Marius is busy with talking to some businessmen." To prove his statement, he pointed at Marius, who seemed bored as two men in suits spoke to him.
"Well, seems like he's bored," Rosa commented. "Marius isn't the type to talk about business matters, especially at balls like this."
As time went on, Luke and her danced together, ate snacks together, and participated in card games, yet they were careful on how much they would bet. This whole time, Rosa wished to have done all these activities with Artem; she watched the whole time as Artem and Selena talked, and Artem kept looking flushed, his cheeks constantly tinted with pink.
I can hear the sounds of violins,
Long before it begins.
Now, Rosa was getting jealous. She wanted to know what the two were talking about; afterall, that's her task as Artem's partner, to know any business consults Artem deals with.
She waited until Luke was distracted by Marius, listening to them as they debated on the best spread for toast. MC carefully walked over to Artem and Selena, trying not to make it seem obvious.
Make me thrill as only you know how,
Sway me smooth, sway me now.
"A- And, well, I deal with missing person cases," Artem stuttered, looking down. "Good boy. And your partner, what does she deal with?"
She realized that Artem was too focused on Selena and her little remarks, making him accidentally spill information related to the Themis Law Firm; she noticed how drawn he was to her compliments, as well as the little touches Selena would do.
He's drunk again, isn't he.. Rosa thought to herself, noticing how Artem acted sweet and dazed all of a sudden, resulting in him not collecting his thoughts properly.
Rosa cleared her voice, the two people looking back at her. Artem put his wine glass down, his cheeks quite red, now. "Oh- MC!" Selena laughed nervously, looking back at Artem. "I.. have to go, now-" Quickly, Selena walked away, walking towards a small group of men wearing black clothes.
"Artem, you're intoxicated," his partner says, sighing. "I heard your conversation with this.. 'client' of yours. Did you give out information?"
"I- I didn't!" Artem said in a hurry, frowning. Rosa could only raise her eyebrow in doubt. "Oh, really? Then why did Luke overhear Selena talking to a bunch of men who are apparently interested in milking out information from the Themis law firm?"
".." Artem could not respond; he fixed his tie, clearing his throat.
[time skip alleluia]
The ball is finally over. Marius agreed to take Luke home, while Vyn stayed longer, for he had to investigate a small matter.
"Why don't you stay at my apartment for tonight?" Artem approached Rosa who was sitting on a couch by herself. "Alright; but let's.. discuss certain matters."
The two attorneys finally reached Artem's home. Their voices were quite strained after hours of arguing; it was surprising, really, how Artem didn't crash the car.
"You didn't know she was flirting with you?!" She said loudly, yet she minded the tone of her voice. "Artem, you gave out information from the Stellis Law Firm!"
"Shut!" Artem yelled back, opening the door to his home, grumbling. "Besides, it's.. very late at night. There is no use to arguing."
Rosa changed to the clothes she had packed earlier before arriving at the ball; she asked Artem to keep the packed clothes in his car. In the meantime, Artem removed his vest and coat, still wearing the white long-sleeved polo, paired with a tie.
She sat down on Artem's bed, waiting for his arrival. The woman had to share the bed with Artem; afterall, he lived alone. She ran downstairs, heading to the kitchen. Rosa planned to wash her face first before heading to bed.
"Artem, do you have spare towels?" Rosa asked, peeking through the kitchen. She watched as Artem cut an apple and put it on a ceramic bowl. "On the very bottom drawer, Rosa," Artem replied, adjusting the heat of the stove.
She ran back upstairs, walking over to the bottom drawer of Artem's nightstand.
MC gasped— she realized she opened the wrong drawer. She should've opened the drawer of the bathroom, or perhaps the storage room. When she opened the bottom drawer of Artem's nightstand, Rosa found rather.. questionable items Artem owns.
